## Emplacement
Perpignan, the capital of Roussillon and the Eastern Pyrenees, is nicknamed “la belle Catalane”. This nickname derives from its strong Catalan identity, which it shared with Dalí, the master of Surrealism, who in 1965 proclaimed Perpignan station the center of the world.
