"Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. "Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival, showing us where to park. The cooler breakfast was really nice. The room was absolutely boiling and even with the windows open all evening it was a poor nights sleep. No aircon and only a little fan. Very firm mattress but it realise this is preference. My husband loved it but I didn’t sleep at all. Close to amenities and nice and quiet. Overall would stay again."

"Loved the old 17th century beams in the rooms and the uneven floors. Property was very quiet - even with the Football World Cup semi-final on while we were there. Staff were all incredibly helpful and loved the breakfast. 100% recommend and would love to take my dog next time as they are very dog friendly (they get a sausage at breakfast!)."

"Great little guest house with stunning views. Of Ullswater. We used the guest house as visiting the Inn on the Lake which is literally just across the road. Spotless room and super friendly staff 👍"
