Location great but needs some repairs
The house is located in the hills about a 4 min drive from the beach. The area is extremely quiet so our kids could party all they wanted without a complaint. The 4 bedrooms downstairs have onsuite bathrooms and everything is newly renovated. The upstairs 2 bedrooms are really small. These bedrooms are in the loft so ceiling is low and sloped, no closet space at all, stuffy rooms with extremely cheap beds. The beds were an embarrassment to my guests who had to sleep there. The stairs are 180 degrees vertical and are for kids and teens only. No adult could sleep upstairs. The stairs may be too dangerous for young kids. The kitchen is wonderful. There are a few repairs needed that were supposed to be fixed while we were there but no one ever showed up. The microwave is in a closet that should open upwards and then stay open. Instead the door slams shut on you, so you need one hand to hold the door open and one to open the microwave and remove items. The microwave is cheap and is either on or off - the timing device does not operate. The lounge area has very, VERY CHEAP furniture. They have covered the damaged area with poorly sewn material that later fell off. I would not have this furniture in my home and I doubt a charity would accept it either. We did not sit on this furniture the entire stay. The BBQ is a lump of rusty iron. For a few hundred euros from Lidl they could buy a fantastic BBQ. So no lovely outdoor BBQ for this trip :) I would stay here again if the owner would invest some money in the furniture. It did annoy me that no one inspected the house before our arrival. Of the 7 air conditioning units., only 4 had remotes so we had to wait a day for the other 3 to be delivered. The water dispensing unit had not been cleaned in years, so we paid for someone to disinfect and maintain the unit - we stayed 10 days and with 12 people we needed to use the unit. The outside furniture is not exactly as shown and clearly the pictures were from many years ago. The paving around the pool has not been repaired or maintained and we had to walk around and hammer in several nails to avoid injury to bare feet. Pool is lovely and extremely well maintained. Garden is 80% weeds and nothing like the pictures. Lots of watering of weeds and bare soil which seemed a waste of precious water in Cyprus. This house has potential but needs maintenance.
