"Mountain View " is a lovely one bedroom, one bath duplex located in downtown Packwood. You can sit by the campfire and enjoy the view of Mt Rainier. You will enjoy a full kitchen, fireplace, smart tv and accommodations for four. There is one bedroom with all four beds. This unit sleeps 2-4. You can easily walk to pizza, fresh roasted coffee, burgers, library, grocery and more.

Please be mindful of the fact that this property is a duplex. You are only renting unit #2. The other unit may be rented out as well. The campfire place in the back is a shared area between both rental units.

The cabin is situated in a small vacation town of Packwood, Washington. Its remote location and small-town charm offer a wonderful ambiance and a place to relax and refresh. Occasionally, you may be greeted by wandering herds of elks. They are very friendly, and visitors enjoy seeing them in person.

This property does not have AC, but fans are provided for your comfort.
During the summer a burn ban may go into effect in all of Lewis County. During this time campfires, the use of charcoal briquettes, and any other form of burning may be prohibited.
Winters in Packwood may get very snowy. It is the guest's responsibility to be properly equipped for harsh winter driving conditions. We do our best to keep our cabins accessible, but winter traction tires and 4-wheel drive may still be required.

Great stay in Packwood. Unit very clean and quiet. Pictures and description accurate. Air conditioner unit worked well. Washer and dryer great to have. Leaving at 5am, it took me 45 minutes to Paradise and 60 minutes to Sunrise. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery store. The only negative was the shower water pressure.

Great place!

We stayed there last year. And we were happy that place was available for this year trip as well. It’s small, but spacious enough for four of us: 2 adults and 2 children. Children were thrilled to stay there for the second time! Place had everything we needed: full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom for four. I’ll be happy to come back here next year.

Nice Spot

This was a perfect spot for me and my buddies to stay for a ski trip at white pass. Walking distance to down and a short drive to the mountain. Only comments would be it would be great to fence the backyard!

Very comfy, homey stay!

We came to Packwood to hike and enjoy the local outdoors. We enjoyed great food and people while in town and were very comfortable in this rental. It was clean with great "amenities" - ie; Kitchenware, coffee pot, hand soaps, towels and wash clothes, and the bed was super comfy. ONLY issue is a very small foyer and you are nervous about getting the carpet dirty. But overall a great stay!

Cozy Packwood Stay

This was our second time staying in this unit and our experience was just as good as the first (even better since my wife didn’t break her ankle this time)! The place had everything we need and the adjustable sleep number bed is a nice touch. We enjoyed the views of Mt. Rainier in the back yard and overall had a great experience staying here while exploring the trails around Mt Rainier.

Fine place

The beds were comfortable, the communication was good, the duplex was clean, and it was quiet. Nothing fancy with no view or reason to want to sit outside. But it was a great base for a couple of days of hiking in Mt. Ranier. Remember to bring your passwords for smart TV.

Great base for Mt. Rainier exploring

We enjoyed our three nights in this home in Packwood as we visited Mt. Rainier NP. We were thankful for the AC unit that was added. Ate at three great local restaurants, but the kitchen was nice enough we could have fixed meals there. We'd stay there again if we come back to the Park.

Great little place

The check-in process was super easy and the property manager let us check in early which was great. The place had everything we needed and even had a sleep number mattress which was a nice touch. My fiancé unfortunately sprained her ankle on our first hike in mt rainier NP so we got to use the TV a lot more than we expected to and it was nice to have.

Great location close to White Pass

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was located a few blocks from downtown so really easy to walk to everything you needed. Very quiet. Was well furnished and 20 minute drive to the mountain. We would stay here again
