Great beach house stay!

Plenty of room for our family of 6 with visitors and great access to the beach. Lovely neighborhood, the house was well maintained, and it was a very comfortable stay.

We have been renting homes in the Hollywood Beach/ Strand area for 15 years, and have had varying experiences with the layout, condition, and preparation of the homes by the owners for guests. With this particular rental, there was very little effort put forth in the stocking, and preparation of the home. We ended up taking multiple trips to the store to purchase basics such as paper towels, and trash bags. In addition we purchased other needed things such as a hair dryer, cooking utensils,and curtains for the upstairs bathroom, to provide some privacy for our other guests. Other noted items, were the mostly expired cooking products in the pantry, and worn out bed linens and towels. On the upside, the home has a beautiful layout, and is in an excellent location. Our overall all impressions was that minimal effort was put forth into preparing the home for us, which was unfortunate because we traveled from out of state.

We (9 of us) stayed for a few days during Christmas. We had a great time. The house was great for our group. We really enjoyed all the outdoor seating options. Great for watching both sunrises and sunsets.

Family get together

The location of this house is wonderful for enjoying the beach. House has a appropriate beds for kids. The roof deck is very nice. It is the beach that attracted us the most.

Great place close to beach, water, restaurants, etc.

Cute place with lots of room for family or friends. Good walking access to the beautiful white sand beach, water, harbor, good restaurants, sea lions viewing, renting a boat, bicycle. The maritime museum is worth seeing right nearby.

Slice of heaven!

This home was our “refuge & sanctuary “ while our home was being repaired. We could’ve asked for a more perfect location & beautiful home. My dog loved the sunrise walks & we all loved the sunset on the upper deck. Heaven. Truly. I feel very lucky to have been able to stay here. Thank you Stephanie! You & Daniel were amazing.

The home is beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed and plenty big enough for a family of 5 (or more). The location in Oxnard is ideal, being a very short walk to both the beach and the marina.

Wonderful stay!

We had the best time at this property! It was very clean, the kitchen was fully stocked, and they had lots of activities for the kids. My daughter loved sleeping in the bunk beds! It was such a short walk to the beach and they had so many beach toys and chairs to use. The ping pong table was awesome too! There were numerous outdoor patios that were amazing too! Our family loved it!

Spacious, Well-Appointed House, Great Location

We stayed here comfortably with five adults and two teenagers for five nights over New Year's Eve. House is clean and well-appointed with two outdoor decks, an enclosed deck and a roof-top deck with a beautiful ocean view. It's a two-minute walk to the sand or to the Harbor. A great find - definitely a property we will consider again when coming to Hollywood Beach.

Best Staycation ever!

We truly enjoyed ourselves for 3 weeks in this property. The place is clean and well equipped with everything you need. From the detergent to the shampoo. The rooftop deck was a favorite. But all the decks were beautiful. The location is breath taking and I will come back to this property again.

Perfect Beach Weekend

I booked the beach house to celebrate my birthday with family. The beach house did not disappoint. The property is clean and well maintained. The property felt very homey. It was nice to sit on the decks and hear the ocean sounds. The family I invited had a great time and we all space and comfortable sleeping and bathroom arrangements. We look forward to revisiting soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Stephanie’s place. We booked very last minute while our house was being worked on. She was super responsive and accommodating. We were even able to arrange a late check out while they finished up work at our house. The neighborhood was lovely, we did a lot of walking through the harbor and the beach was beautiful. Highly recommend!

Great Beach Location especially for swimming.

The house was cute and eclectic. It was very cool to have 3 stories. The outdoor space was great. The host was kind, responsive and helpful. I gave four stars because the mildew smell on the first floor and in the second floor bedroom made our stay less enjoyable. Some of the kitchen supplies used for baking and cooking could use some updating. The furniture was just a little worn in some areas.

Lovely home in perfect location

We spent 3 weeks at this property, the house is lovely and quite practical for a family. The beach is less than 5 minutes walking and perfect for all: no waves in the cove behind the house and for the daring, short walk to the waves part of the beach. Plenty of toys in the garage for the little ones and the bigger ones! Plenty of rooms and bathrooms for all! Practical kitchen for meals. The top deck is just amazing: views, views and perfect place for happy hours! Short walk to coffee shop and restaurants around the harbor, sea lions and beautiful landscape make the walk quite pleasant. We are planning to come back next summer.

It works!

Overall….the house worked for us. Location isn’t the best…as you really do have to drive & park to go to the beach…& it’s a deep beach. I think the BBQ needs to be replaced….it never gets hot enough….& you can’t have the gas dryer on while BBQing…they share the gasoline. Do I have a refund deposit coming to me ?
