The name of the hotel derives from the meeting place associated with Maximilian in Mexico. It is great for a lone traveller as I was."

The hotel is located outside the city center next to a busy road, so best solution is to take a bus or rent a bike from the hotel (plus: it is for free!) to the city center."

Rainfall shower head not good if you don’t want to wash your hair that day. Overall, would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely place to stay but although 400 years old it’s like any other new hotel… This was the only thing that was disappointing as the staff and breakfast was lovely. It is also in the pedestrian zone so if you have lots of luggage it can be a tough walk."

"Short stay in Ljubljana the hotel was located in a residential area but was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were excellent throughout our stay. I managed to forget a bag and reception kept it safe and then Aljaz for the customer service team engaged with me to have me reunited with my bag by courier - he was professional helpful and a credit to the hotel. We would stay here again "
