Take in all the red rock views right off Highway 163 in newly built off-grid cabins. Enjoy easy access to the highway, and amenities are a few short minutes away! The solar-powered cabins offer a two-person eating area, a Keurig coffee maker, air conditioning, and a microwave. Like many housing situations in the Navajo Nation, these cabins are not yet equipped with running water. However, there is a porta potty on site and a hand washing station inside the cabin. This business is family and Navajo-owned.

Very remote — that’s part of its beauty. There’s an outside toilet and no bathroom, but it’s cosy and convenient. Make sure you arrive in daylight, not after dark — it can be hard to find at night.

The off-grid cabin was an interesting experience— like glamping, but with a comfortable bed, sofa, microwave. There is no plumbing, the room has a small, stand alone wash basin. Note that the bathroom is a porter potty, about 30 ft from the cabin. There is no shower. room had a coffee maker and microwave, but no refrigerator. On the whole a different sort of stay, good for a couple of days

The property was just as described and the communication from the host made it easy to locate. At night when I returned the gate was locked but I called and within 10 minutes they came and opened it for me. Definitely would recommend.

I could not find the property. I went to the KOA Campground where the location was specified, but found no evidence whatsoever that the off-grid cabins even existed. There were no signs. I believe this to be a total scam.

Such an amazing place with a wonderful location!! Ivan and Tylais were quick to respond. The guest house is private. The views were magnificent and almost surreal. Located a few minutes from Monument Valley. The property is exactly as described, with so many additional bonuses! I give this property 5 stars and hope I have the chance to return some day!

Wonderful location, but if windy desert red sand will prevent you to sit outside. 0 bathroom is a porter potty!!!. No coffeemaker/ no tea maker, which was listed. There is no plumbing for water.

The cabin is attractractive and comfortable. It was brutally hot but the small wall air conditioner made it very comfortable. The location is on a sandy ridge so think of it like camping in a campground but with better accommodations. It's a work in progress with prep for two additional cabins.

Le logement est convenable dans l'ensemble mais on aurait aimé etre informé qu'il n'y avait ni point d'eau ni douche, alors que celle ci est mentionnée. La climatization est un peu bruyante mais appreciable.

Perfection

The owner has truly thought of everything when setting up these cabins. Immaculately clean and located in a place that is convenient to the hwy but super quiet.I have stayed in palaces and 5 star plus hotels, this ‘off grid’ cabin offered more amenities than some of those places, fully stocked coffee pods, more water bottles than you could wish for, paper towels, torch, disinfecting wipes, extra doona and first aid kit! Of you are thinking of staying in Monument Valley you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

Cabin was very tidy. Views are great. Weather was windy so we couldn't stay out. Somebody closed and locked the gate when we went to see the sunset to a hotel. (Some jeep safari on the same lot). Door lock was a bit tricky to lock. Can warmly recommend.

Worth the Stay

The listing was exactly as described, so you know what to expect. Ivan has made staying off-grid as comfortable as possible considering everything is run off solar power. Staying in monument valley was an extra bonus for us! The cell service isn’t the best, but that’s due to location not a host issue. Ivan responded within a timely manner and was very hospitable. Definitely recommend

Awesome Views!

I loved my stay here. The host was great and made sure I was warm and had everything I needed. The cabins were cute and very comfortable. I happened to be there on a full moon and was amazed at all I could see!

Valley cabin

Very clean and in a great area for going to the Monument Valley. No shower inside or outside in the nearby area. No light / electricity produced by a generator since 5 in the morning, so only sunlight and no coffee or microwave without light.
