Overall, the house was perfect for the weekend and a family of 5. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and some items such as parchment paper, foil, ground coffee, seasoning, flour, etc... The living room has a comfy couch and big TV with Roku. The home decor and furniture are very welcoming, warm, and high quality. There were also lots of throw blankets that were clean and cozy for use anywhere inside the house and on the deck or by the fire. Bedrooms have mattresses more on the firm side if that is what you prefer. Although I thought the mattresses themselves were comfortable, they did have a protector on it that seemed to trap heat making it a bit too warm. I would recommend the owner look into more breathable fabrics. The back covered patio has comfy deck furniture and a nice place to sit and enjoy the sounds of nature. The dock on the lake is perfect for relaxing with a book or fishing but beware of all the vegetation in the water.
My suggestions for a better experience would be a more breathable mattress protector fabric for a better sleep (mentioned above) and for blackout curtains in the bedroom. Also, you can feel the nails when stepping on the threshholds to bedrooms. Those should get checked.
