Nostalgic decor with seashells from around the world create the perfect mood for sun, sand, and ocean air. The deck offers a picnic table, gas grill, and a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

Located in North Ocean City close to the Delaware/MD line you can enjoy tax-free shopping in Fenwick, Bethany, and the Rehoboth Outlets, which are located within 20 miles. Numerous miniature golf courses, restaurants, and beach shops line the Coastal Hwy, and the famous Ocean City Boardwalk - featuring rides, games, and food - is accessible via the transit bus.

Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

This property is located in an R1-zoned area. Per Ocean City Ordinance, the maximum occupancy in a dwelling in the R-1 single family residential district and the MH mobile home residential district being used as a premises for habitation/rental housing unit, is two persons per bedroom, plus two additional persons, provided that occupancy does not exceed the maximum allowed occupancy under Chapter 10 and the dwelling's or building's allowed occupancy use for its provided fire protection features required under Chapter 34. The maximum occupancy limit is strictly enforced.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Pros: The house is a nice house. This is our second summer staying there. Nice quiet neighborhood and good for young kids and a pet. Also a short bike or drive to the beach.Cons: the electrical arrangement is confusing. And there were ants that had been identified by the people who stayed the week before and were still there in force in the kitchen.

Seashell cottage

Bathrooms not clean, sink in one bathroom would not drain. Spoke to someone about it & was not taken care of. They did send out cleaning people for the bathrooms. The return air vent in ceiling was filthy & that did not get cleaned.

Sea shell cottage

The sea Shell cottage was not what we saw pictured in the listing. The house is dark, musty, and items such as chairs and fans were unusable. My elderly father fell while sitting down at the very tight dining area in one of the rickety dining chairs. We woke to an ant infestation on the kitchen counter on the second morning and lost a few of our opened perishables such as donuts and chips that were sealed by chip clips. All in all because we were so appreciative of bringing our dogs and having the park across the street I had to apologize profusely to my family for not booking what was Solon the listing.

Nice stay

The house was nice. Neighbor quiet. It was nice there is a small park across the street for the dog. Had everything I need in the house. It was nice I did not have to bring my own sheets and towels. They were supplied to us. The beach is a short drive up the street, maybe a minute or two and there was plenty of parking. I would stay here again if I go down to ocean city again.

Seashell Cottage

Upon arrival which was after 4pm the house had not been cleaned, this caused us to have to reach out to get the place cleaned and delayed our occupancy. The property was not very clean at all. there was an ant problem in the kitchen. the kitchen was not very well equipped lacking in matching dishes, cups, etc. we ended up using paper plates and plastic cups. the cabinets had tomato sauce stains above the stove. The house had a lot of "clutter". The yard and deck were not very well kept. Overall this property was very disappointing . We have rental several properties with VRBO and this by far was our worse experience. As a result the property was overpriced for the value received.

Unhappy we chose Vasaca, would never rent from this company again.

The inside of the cottage was fair, there were broken door knobs, and the fridge and stove were dirty; the outside of the place was not maintained at all. There was overflowing garbage from the last renter basting in the heat, and flies and ants were everywhere. You couldn't go in or out of the property without flies and bugs coming in. Every time we called Vascasa, I had to re-tell the whole story, and we lived with the stinky garbage at the entrance of our door for the entire length of our stay. No one cared about it or did anything about it. It was poor communication. I would never trust Vasaca again. In addition, the property had cobwebs and dried-up plants; you couldn't use the outside patio, it was so dirty, or the backyard, which was so overgrown with weeds and dirty plants.

Great location but house is VERY In need of repairs

Upon first arriving my toddler leaned against the wooden railing at the top of the stairs next to the door and it started swaying. We immediately made a “no learning in the banister” rule in fear of it breaking. After we got the key to enter the home, the handle of the storm door came off. Once we figured out how to open the storm door we were greeting with a seemingly clean little cottage. We started to unpack and it seemed like each room we went into there were more broken things that needed repairs. The wood panel above the cabinet under the sink was just leaning against the cabinetry. The screen door for the inside pantry was broken with the screen half pushed through. There was a broken strip of wood on the corner of the hallway that my husband had to fix so it wouldn’t be dangerous for our children. The strip of floor trim in the entrance of the room with the two beds kept coming up causing everyone to trip. I immediately called the company who manages the property and they said they would send someone out. We never saw anyone. I did receive a notification that someone was there and the door was fixed. The next day my husband and I were loading the car for the beach and the handle came off again. This time we struggled to get it back on and my child was on the other side of the door crying. I sent a picture of the ordeal to management and they just said “sorry you’re experiencing this” The bathroom doors do not lock (not ideal with two families staying in one home) the master bathroom door doesn’t close all the way. My family and I stay at rentals several times a year and this is the first poor review I am leaving. The management company does not care how your stay is and while they give you a number to reach out 24/7 there is little follow up about repairs and concerns.

comfortable beds & everything we needed

The beds & sofas were comfortable. Everything was great. Kitchen well stocked, crock pot, pots & pans, dishes, utensils,,toaster, blender, & margaritas machine? (didn't try it but should have!!) Nice park across street,canal dwn street, beach quick drive w free parking spots. Nice picnic bench and grill. So nice!

Ok but wouldn’t rent again. Best thing was the park across the street.

The description was a bit deceiving. Washer and dryer not working properly. Had to run dryer a few times. Furniture, dressers, have been painted and are very difficult to open. Outdoor area was unkept and mold on rug. Needs more updating to charge as much as they do.

Problems that were never fixed.

The house was fine as far as the space. It was definitely not close to the beach as far as walking but we drove so that was fine. When we arrived the house was set to over 80° and it took at least 12 hours to cool down. There were thousands of ants all over the countertops. The bathroom lights in one of the bathrooms would not come on. No soap in one bathroom. One virtually empty soap in the other. There are almost no plugs in the bedrooms. Some of the lamps just have cords going to Nowhere.. very cluttered with Knick knacks but kitchen supplies cups etc lacking. Not even a metal or wooden spoon to stir pasta in a pot. We reported the non working bathroom lights and ants to Lori at vacasa who said someone would come out the next day. We asked for an ant trap so they didn’t spray any spray on the counter. I think they came in because there was a spray sticky on the counter. Bathroom light never fixed so it was basically a one Working bathroom place the whole time. Vacasa clearly not attentive but I had a feeling even before I came. It says bring your bedding. I used the Vrbo app to contact a manager to see if that meant sheets or what. No response in 3 days. I called the main number and asked. They had to reach out to local manager Lori who they said would reach out that day. 3 days later I had to call again. Finally was told yes sheets but no quilts. We took 4 quilts which took up a lot of space in the car. 2 of the beds already had quilt and one of the closets had a ton more shoved in it. It was somewhat disappointing overall. The house had decent space and could have been very nice if someone/ vacasa took better care of it. This is the 3rd Vrbo this summer but the only one I have complained about.

Summer shore visit.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at this rental. The property was clean and check in was very easy. Everything we needed was readily available. We look forward to future visits. Once again we had a great time.

Short summer getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The home is spacious and in a nice quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. Very nice to be able to take our dogs with us since they are family too. Cute, beachy decor and very comfortable beds.
