    The Space:

    The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, and game and exercise rooms! During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store, and gift shops. A well-rested vacation awaits you at this charming oceanfront, family-friendly condo just steps away from the beach! Completely renovated for the 2024 season, the unit features new flooring, new furniture, new window treatments, and upgrades to the bathroom and kitchen for a luxurious experience. This home away from home will provide you and your guests everything you could ever need to spend an unforgettable time together. This unit features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, central air-conditioning, a private balcony with stunning ocean views, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting new furniture, and TVs with streaming capability in the living room and bedroom. Things to Know The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed. The indoor pool will be closed beginning Monday, March 2, 2026 through Friday, March 14, 2026 for our annual maintenance. The pool will reopen on Saturday, March 15, 2026. The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers. Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Great place

I loved this location. Unit was remodeled and better than expected. The view of the ocean was perfect. The beach is steps away and i couldn't have been happier with our stay

Felt like home....

This condo felt like home to us. It's small, but cozy. We are a family of 4. The AC was wonderful. The kitchen very equipped. There is a wonderful shower and washer and dryer. I don't travel well and here I had everything I needed.

Nice Location

The unit is aged but was comfortable. I enjoyed the view of the ocean and was even able to hear the waves crashing on the beach. The only negative would be the a/c was loud. An area of improvement just to make the place more welcoming would be updating the decor.

The place itself was not bad. Outdated appliances and mattress, but had what we needed and looked like the pictures. The lower score is due to the fact that although the building has wi-fi, the unit itself does not. Due to that, I used up all my data on my phone and was unable to do work on my computer. In addition, we were not able to access any children's shows for our son. There was basic cable only and of course no access to streaming channels. The electrical outlets are old and loose so plugs often fell out. The place is also dark, with only one working lamp in the bedroom. The second lamp didn't even have a bulb in it. Some things we didn't know until we got there: they provide 1 roll of paper towels, dish soap, 2 rolls toilet paper, a few dishwasher pods, a few washing machine pods, towels and sheets. The extra blankets for the bed are not washed, so we had to wash them ourselves. The bed comforter also does not get routinely washed. The view was beautiful though!

Never Again

I would stay in Golden Sands again but never this unit. This is an older unit that needs updating. First the positives: Location, Gold Sands is nice place to stay. Good location, safe. Nice amenities. The unit 911- was clean. That was about it. As you come into the unit, the washing machine lid would not stay up, making loading and unloading difficult. The air conditioning in bedroom was very noisey. Some of the wall sockets would not hold a plug, meaning you can not use but one. The bottom drawer of the dresser was broken. Bathroom-Shower would not divert water to shower head completely. This caused the hot water to run out quickly, 1 shower then cold-water. The tub and tiles are most likely original and need replaced. The tub has a large rust mark on it. Again, living room, kitchen dinning room outlets would not hold a plug tightly. The trim at the bottom of the oven had became loose and you can not shut the bottom drawer without out holding it in as well as the hood light on stove does not work. TV's are fine. Need a chair in living room for more seating. The biggest problem that user will encounter is no WIFI. The building has WIFI but the building is made with cement and you can not access internet in room. You can not access Netflix, etc We have been coming to Ocean City for 44 years and would never stay in this unit again. We free very strongly about Golden Sands being a nice place to stay. We stayed in another unit last year. We were just so very disappointed this year. Thankfully the weather was great and we did not have to spend a lot of time in the room.
