Enjoy a view of Assawoman Bay to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east from this fantastic, updated condo with a private balcony. This beachfront condo is ideally located within walking distance of various dining and shopping options; you can also take the bus for hassle-free travel to your favorite destinations. The historic Ocean City Boardwalk, with its carnival atmosphere, great food, and superb nightlife, is located five miles south. You can also plan a fun family day at Jolly Roger Amusement Park and Splash Mountain Waterpark, only four miles south.

On-site amenities include a shared indoor pool, sauna, fun-filled game room, oceanside tennis courts, half-acre sun deck, tropical bar, and easy access to a private stretch of beach.

The Golden Sands condominiums are located midway between the Ocean City Expressway just two miles to the south for easy access to the mainland and the state line only two and a half miles north for days of duty-free shopping in Delaware. Close by, shop at the Gold Coast Mall, catch the latest blockbuster at the Fox Theater, or dine at numerous restaurants and casual eateries up and down Coastal Highway.

When you're not enjoying the breathtaking ocean view from your private, furnished balcony, head downstairs and out onto the adjacent beach for days of swimming and sunbathing. Choose this well-appointed vacation condo for your next trip out to the Atlantic Coast!

We had a terrible experience — the unit had not been clean. From what appeared to be puke splatter on the bathroom walls and in the toilet, to a dirty Q-tip on the floor. Every surface was dirty floors had not been vacuumed or mopped. Dust, debris, hairs, just gross all around. Dust and dead gnats on walls and ceiling. Pillows were stained and gross.Our entire stay was ruined by the feeling of being in a gross place. Most of the time we would’ve had spent enjoying ourselves, we spent messaging with the host, trying to find options for alternative places to stay or venting our frustrations about the situation.Unit was also in need of repairs. Pictures look cute luxury modern but in person not great. A piece of trim from around the door fell and hit me in the head while I was brushing my teeth. Walls covered in scuffs dents and stains. Futon/couch, legs, broken and wobbly. Paint peeling.Amenities leave much to be desired. One extra blanket and pillow bunched up in the closet not sure if was even clean and iron was available but no ironing board. Hot water lasted 10 minutes so that was fun.We spent several hours messaging back-and-forth with the host, and spent much of Saturday outside of the unit so that they could come and clean, but they were unable to get over before we need to come back to prepare for the event which we were in town for. No other resolution was offered by host.
What we think was puke splatter, matching color spatter in toilet 🤮
Greasy stovetop and countertops didn’t appear wiped
Soap scum on glass shower wall
Trim that hit me in the head while I brushed my teeth.

Beautiful view from this condo. also very quiet. As others stated the shower really needs a barrier. I understand the want for a sleek design but it really makes no sense. Otherwise, we had a great stay. Premises are very clean, we always saw the staff working hard.

Needs Improvement but OK

First let me say the view is like no other and you will see an amazing sunrise. The place is very clean and very modern. All very important. However, no Wifi in todays world is simply not good. We really wanted a nice relaxing getaway which always includes watching movies in the evening. The TV experience was pathetic. Not only could we not get any channels but no streaming due to no Wifi. We could not use our devices and had to leave the unit to send photos to family. The other thing that shocked us was NO OVEN! We love to cook and could not cook. Please do not advertise FULL KITCHEN when there is no oven. And please please change the sofa. While it might look sleek, it is the most uncomfortable sofa we have ever sat on. It literally hurt our backs. And we tried moving to the plastic chairs but they are just as bad. And lastly the shower needs a door to cut down on the overspray. My wife was trying to put on her makeup while I was showering and she was getting wet. Thanks so much. I think this could be an exceptional place with a few improvements. Thanks!

Wanted to like it. The Golden Sands building is gross. The condo was not clean. We walked in and the walls are filthy, floor was sticky, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, fridge was not clean, microwave had pieces of old food stuck to plate, ect... Also, all the cups and wine glasses are super cloudy and old plastic cups. They looked awful. Extremely disappointed. I shouldn't have to rent a condo and then have to clean it first.

Cozy, well Designed space. Clean and an amazing view. Nice central OC location. The sliding door is a bit heavy and the audio of the master TV is broken. But overall a nice way to enjoy the ocean in comfort and affordability.

To begin, the view is the best thing about this property. It is nothing short of magnificent! Prior to booking the property I read many reviews about the property. Many of the reviews mentioned the patio door. I erroneously thought the issues with the patio door would get resolved by the time I arrived. The issues were not resolved. The door is heavy. The screen is ripped, the screen door eventually fell off. There are few amenities with this rental. What amenities there are do not work. The washer/dryer combo did not work. This is important as there is nowhere to hang wet clothing! The TV/WiFi is complicated to figure out at best. The TV picture is nothing short of horrible. The table on the patio is rusted and dirty. The knives on the kitchen counter are equally rusted. The unit, was basically clean but it definitely needs some repair. The unit is small. Probably too small for 2 people. Again, there is nowhere to put anything! Also, the building itself needs some upkeep! The best thing about the unit is the view. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets!! A short walk to the beach!

Don’t be fooled by the photos

This property was advertised as having a king bed and a sofa bed. There was no sofa bed- just a super hard futon- and no blinds in the living room on the floor to ceiling windows. The ice maker and the washing machine were broken and the open air shower in the bedroom lacked privacy and functionality. There were some disgusting cleanliness issues I will spare the details here. I can not recommend this property.

Clean and a Great View!

The Condo was clean and the pictures are accurate. It was ideal for 2 people I wouldn’t recommend 3 or 4. The view is great however, disappointed the door issue hasn’t been fixed yet. I could not open the door myself and my husband had to use all of his strength just to open it. There isn’t an oven, so don’t plan on baking. If you don’t like the temp resetting at 75 degrees I would suggest getting with them to have this fixed for you. Also a guide to know how to use the TV would be helpful. There are 4 remotes! We eventually figured it out. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Hi, we will be checking out today. This has just been one issue after another and we haven’t gotten to enjoy the space at all. The balcony was a huge selling point so not being able to get out to the balcony was a huge issue. Even though someone called to come fix it, I shouldn’t have to be handling calls for a maintenance issue when I am on vacation. Additionally, the bedroom TV did work. Again, the listing promised A tv in the bedroom so that was very disappointing. Lastly, the AC didn’t hold and my husband had to get up a few times in the middle of the night to turn it back down because we were absolutely sweating. This was a lot of money for us to take this small vacation and it seems like we had one maintenance issue after another. Regardless of if someone can come fix it, this is our time and space for three days, we don’t need maintenance men in here or fielding calls to work out a time. We paid for the space, we expect it to be right. Cherry on top was that the listing stated the parking spot was in the garage, when it’s very much so not. It’s just time wasted and we are extremely disappointed. We can’t take another night in the heat so we are cutting the trip short. We gave it one night thinking the air needed to adjust but after two nights of that and everything else we can’t take it any more. Additionally there are signs everywhere about trash but no directions on where it goes. Yet another wild goose chase. The trash is all picked up in bags by the door. Some type of compensation is 1000% warranted. This was our trip for the summer and what we could afford and to have this experience is beyond disappointing.

Lovey, expensive, disappointing

I'll start off by saying the unit was clean, great location, facility was well kept. Woman at front office that takes care of checking you was LOVELY, FRIENDLY, AND A PLEASURE. We paid a lot of money during prime season, I paid for a room that was on the 15th floor, with a balcony looking over the ocean. My choice, I wanted what I paid for. The sliding door was broken and I could not open it. My BF who is a strong construction worker in NYC (steamfitter) had to use all his strength to slide the door open. Screen was completely ripped on the screen door so we could not even leave it open if we wanted to. When we called Vacaca, they were trying to get someone to fix the door, no one ever did. Operating the TV's and the range top was challenging and the kitchen truly lacked proper cooking utensils (I LOVE to cook breakfast when on vacation). I was more than willing to pay for the stay but we didn't get what was advertised. I had a beautiful time in the area, and I hate to complain, but think it's wise to share this experience so the management company or the owner takes some ownership for this. Vacaca did give us a $200 credit (I had to negotiate this) which I feel was not enough for what we paid but I was just too angry to let this ruin my vacation. They offered a credit for another stay at another property but really didn't want to deal with them anymore after this experience. We are staying at the Golden Sands again in August but booked with a different company, I hope this one is better.

Great view but terrible internet

Since we couldn’t travel to see family for Thanksgiving because of COVID we made a last minute decision to get out of town, hear some waves, see the beach and binge on Netflix. The view was perfect and the space was nice but the dream of NF binging evaporated due to the poor internet connection and inability to get the TVs to work with the network that was available. We did see some reviews that mentioned this problem but had assumed the property management would have put in some effort to resolve the problem. We did reach out to the property management and they attempted to talk us through procedures but the procedures were generic (try restarting the router etc.- all our own devices worked fine, although slow, with the available network not to mention that there are no actual routers in the property because its a public WiFI in the building) and did not correct the problem. At least the;y did tr;y to help but the TV connectivity needs attention as it’s a significant detractor. There are some additional things to note: 1) there is no oven- only a microwave; 2) check in instructions say the parking is under the building- it’s not it’s out in the open parking lot; 3) the TV signal in the bedroom is poor and nearly unviewable.

Great location for a couple to relax and get away

This place was very hard for me to like at first. Things like the couch sliding every time you touch it, the lack of an oven, the walls being dirty/dusty in spots. The room wasnt a typical beach condo, more like a manhattan condo. Great view. The TV's work if you are good at working smart TV's, same with the free building WiFi. I was upset to have to reconnect every day to netflix. But we made it work and had a good time. The washer dryer combo ruined a bunch of my clothes and we decided to just wait until we got home to wash alot of things. I had to buy spatula, non slip pads for the couch, and a bunch of other things. Still had a great time and was very relaxing to get away from the craziness of our home area.

Nice getaway

We went for a long weekend and had a great time. The view was great from the balcony and you could enjoy the entertainment from downstairs. There isn't an oven so we had food we were going to bake that we couldn't. The washer/dryer combo is very small and doesn't work very well, I was happy we brought extra towels especially for the beach. The parking spot is in the lot and not in the garage which wasn't a concern but different than we were told. The condo is very nice and was clean which was the most important for us. Because of the washer/dryer I may be hesitant to rent again or would need to bring alot more towels.

We enjoyed four days in this modern, sleek, tastefully decorated condo. The 1970s building can use some upgrading and we had issues with the stovetop malfunctioning (got immediate help from the Vacasa manager), but the view of the ocean is amazing. I recommend this place!
