Fox Den just listed with Red Barn Vacations. The home was five star-rated over many years of rentals. I'm sure we'll have a flood of five-star reviews on the website soon, but until then, we have no problem reassuring you: you're gonna love this home!

Fox Den is a *NEW CONSTRUCTION* modern A-frame cabin of our dreams! Not only is this lakeside cottage renovated with a stunning modern design, but it also boasts everything you need for the perfect Deep Creek vacation. Lakefront and dock? Check! Large outdoor fire pit with plentiful seating and outdoor lights? Definitely. Lower level bar cabinets with ping pong table, couch, and smart TV? Got it! New furnishings, comfortable beds, and open floor plan? Absolutely.

Location highlights: The home is lakefront, with the lake water laying a short walk in front of the home. The lakefront is shared with the neighbors, including a community dock structure, although the home does come with a dedicated dock slip. The walk to the lakefront takes about one minute. Fox Den is located in the central lake area, but tucked away along a quiet community road. Upon leaving the home, you will find Dutch's at Silver Tree, the lakefront Harbor Bar, along with the popular Honi-Honi bar about a 1-2 minute drive from the home, as well as the Arrowhead Market, a local conveience store with a liquor store, fabulous deli, and basic grocery/home needs, which is open 24-7.

Sleeping arrangements: There are no sleeper sofa or futons in this house. All sleeping arrangements are in beds. 1 king bed, 2 queens, 1 twin single bed and one twin bunk bed.

Gym/ Pool Access: This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home's full occupancy.

Dog Friendly Notice: Maximum of two dogs per reservations. A $175/non-refundable fee will be added for each dog. Dogs should be well-behaved, trained, and friendly; dogs with a history of aggression or destruction are not permitted. In order to comply with many of our home's rental insurance policies, breeds listed as most aggressive are banned for all rentals, regardless of individual training and temperament. If you are planning to bring a dog, please reach out to us upon booking to discuss your dogs breed to get final approval from our staff.

* Winter Advisory: Deep Creek is a mountainous region that experiences more snowfall and ice than you may be used to. Many roads and driveways can be steep. 4WD/AWD vehicles are advised in the winter months. *

The host/management group was very welcoming and helpful. The house was perfect for our family of 8 which included 6 adults and 2 children plus 2 dogs. The amenities were great. It was too cold to sit outside by the firepit but the fireplace indoors was nice! The location was perfect for us as well.

Beautiful home, clean, comfortable beds. The lake was further away than it was described... three steps from property line... but property included a very steep hill which was not manageable for our older relatives. And we could not see the lake very well from the home. Overall, a great weekend, but because of steep hill, we will not be back.

Weekend Vacation

This was nice house in a central location to restaurants, etc. It was listed as new construction but was an old house that had been completely renovated. Overall the house was pretty clean. The floors were a little dirty. This may have been because the place hadn’t been used in a while. The management responded quickly to a spill that was in the floor when we arrived and a toilet that was leaking.

Good but a little disappointing

We had a nice trip but a couple of things dampened the stay. We couldn’t raise the heat in the house using the thermostats, so reached out to see what our options are and didn’t get any help. We made it work, but it lead to some long, cold nights. Then we were woken up before 7:30 on a Saturday by lawn maintenance cleaning up leaves for 3 hours. The leaf blower was loud, and they were directly on the deck around 7:45.

Great location, clean home

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Fox Den! The house is very clean and located very centrally, easily accessible to all things on the lake. The only drawback was the steep descent to the dock, but that is fairly common on the lake. Would definitely recommend and we plan on coming back!

Family vacation

The house is gorgeous and perfect for a family vacation. The basement was perfect for a parent and kids to have some space and their own entrance and bathroom. The yard was set up nicely to relax outside and enjoy the outdoors. Finally the company was a pleasure to work with and had excellent communication before, during, and after the stay. I highly recommend!

Lovely Home and Great Hosts!

The communication from the hosts was professional and frequent. The home was absolutely gorgeous and just newly renovated so very new all around. It fit our family of 9 very comfortably with 6 kids. The kids loved the view of the lake and the amenities were great.
