Mountain Escape | Hot Tub | Game Room | Fire Pit

Private home located in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the mountains. Located just minutes away from Deep Creek Lake, State Park, Wisp Ski Resort as well and many other attractions and restaurants. It includes a game room, gas fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, office area w/ wireless printer, Wifi w/ streaming options. The outdoor area includes covered parking, a hot tub, fire pit, grill, ample seating areas and a small fitness center. Ample parking for a boat in front of the garage.

The home is located on a beautiful mountain and therefore both the gravel road leading to the home as well as the home's gravel driveway are on an incline. Neighborhood roads and the home's driveway are plowed during inclement winter weather but it is still strongly advised that guests have 4WD or AWD when visiting during inclement winter weather.

Guests can park under the covered carport or on the gravel surrounding the carport. Guests may also park in front of the garage. Guests are allowed to park their boat on the property. Guests are not allowed to park on the gravel in front of the basement door. There is a no parking sign in front of this restricted space also indicating this.

Strict no pets, no parties, no third party bookings and no smoking rules.

Due to county ordinances and septic limitations, no more than 6 guests are allowed.

For your safety, we do have outdoor security cameras which monitor the outside perimeter of the home as well as each entrance. The cameras do not monitor activities near property amenities such hot tub, fire pit, etc.

This unit, located in the beautiful mountains does not have central A/C. For your comfort in case of unusually warm weather, there is a window a/c unit in the living room which circulates air throughout the first floor, ceiling fan in every bedroom as well as the kitchen (2), living room (1) and downstairs area (2), 2 large box fans, and even a large portable air conditioning unit. Please also visit climate websites to assess average monthly temperatures in the area.

The availability of the fireplace is seasonal (October 1 - May 1).

For your comfort, the home is regularly treated for pests. The hideaway is located in the woods and surrounded by the beauty of nature. Bugs come with the territory. Despite our best efforts, the occasional bug may enter the home especially if unscreened windows or doors are kept open. Keep doors closed and food cleaned up to limit attracting anything. There is bug spray located in the pantry of the home that can be used if absolutely necessary.

Do NOT rent this property during the winter unless you enjoy stress. Good notes: cleanliness and amenities. Unfortunately, nearly none of them were usable. The hot tub and fire pit were both essentially snowed in and unusable. The game room in the basement—which was meant to be the highlight of the trip—was freezing, and only two small space heaters worked which kept the room 40 degrees. The home sits atop a steep drive that wasn't cleared, which was disheartening after making it up the icy hills to get there. We parked by the road. Imagine trekking up a large hill in foot deep snow—in the dark, with single digit temperatures and your arms full to minimize trips—to find the door to your rental snowed in. I twisted my ankle attempting to get on the porch. Once I kicked the snow out from in front of the door, I couldn't enter the home because the code still needed changed (3 hours after check in). Carrying a toddler up the treacherous hill in that cold was yet another stressor. I’m glad my disabled sister didn’t come as planned, because we would've had to leave. I almost went home, anyway. After the trouble, I had no interest in even leaving the hill for fear we wouldn't be able to make it back up—and I do have an AWD Subaru SUV with good tires. I hope the next renters enjoy the stock of toilet paper we left, as there was absolutely NONE when we arrived. In the summer, it would be a decent enough place due to requiring minimal maintenance. But I will not return. Unacceptable.

3 year anniversary fun

We were celebrating our 3 year anniversary on our stay there. When we approached the property we were happy to see the seclusion we like. Once inside we loved that there was a lot we could do inside. We had lots of fun playing pool, watching a movie and sitting in the hot tub, especially because we had a quite a bit of snow while there. We were still able to get out and have a wonderful dinner at a great restaurant and also went bowling. Tenecia was on top of things from beginning to end. It made us feel good that at the end of our stay she was concerned for our safe trip home. We would definitely recommend staying here for all the amenities and wonderful host!!

Nice place but could use some extra cleaning

Nice place, son loved the game room. Needed some updates- blinds broke and no curtain made a mack shift curtain to be able to run ac in bedroom as they had vertical blinds. The deck and doors needed spiderwebs cleaned out. Other than those items it was a nice place. There was no welcome basket as advertised and the ping pong and dart board wasn’t there.

Perfect for families of 3, 4, 5 or 6

The communication was super easy with quick responses from the manager. The house was labeled well so you could find things and know how to work them. A detailed book is provided wiyh every bit of info you could possibly need. It was also super clean. Those are the main things I look for when renting a vacation spot. What made this place even better was the fire pit, hot tub, gas fire place and game room basement. My boys had a blast playing pool, shuffle board and watching movies in the best home setting for a movie watching experience. Also, close to shops, skiing and the lake. I highly recommend.

Excellent getaway

We have stayed here several times, to include the past Thanksgiving weekend. The host is so easy to work with and really wants you to have a great time - communication is great. The property is spacious, neat, and clean. Lots to do without leaving - pool table/ping pong, card table, shuffleboard, hot tub, etc.

4 women getting away from everything for a getaway. The property was like on the app. It was clean. Enjoyed the hot tub , and the fire pit. Only complaint was trying to figure out the TV's. We contacted the host, and finally figured it out.

Good Times with friends

My husband and I had a great weekend with close friends. The house was great. Sat around fire pit at night for great conversation as well as had a great time downstairs in the game room playing cards and shuffle board. Was only 5 minutes from all activities at the lake. Owner was always quick to respond to emails as well as gave us great suggestions for things to do. Would highly recommend.

Perfect Stay

This Thanksgiving stay was our second stay this year. Great clean / spacious property with a lot of amenities and tucked away location. Owner always makes you feel welcomed and is always just a message away, providing very good communication. We will definitely be back.

Great Family Getaway Spot

The house was super clean when we arrived. The showstopper is the game room. Everything you could ask for! And the hot tub was a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back.
