The host provided a lot—even Peets coffee pods for the Keurig. When there was a problem with hot water, and with the stopper for the bathroom sink, he had it fixed right away.

The apartment was spot on to the description and photos. The host was both accommodating and responsive. We were just two people so the back bedroom worked perfectly, was quiet and dark. The living room is spacious, where the futon couch and a regular couch are and with a nice breakfast area and table. We would stay here again and recommend.

Cute house on a nice street with nice gardens. Easy street parking. We walked to a local restaurant which was convenient. We were just about 10 minutes from our son’s apartment by the University of California Berkeley. We appreciated having plenty of towels and a comfortable bed and plenty of bedding. There was a comfortable living room with a TV with streaming services and a comfortable dining area and useful small kitchen. We appreciated the filtered water, pitcher, and the Keurig machine, tea and instant coffee. There are small lovely gardens in front and back. Neighbors were quiet.

False advertising. This is NOT a 2 bedroom condo. It is only 1 bedroom with a pull out couch located between the one bedroom and the bathroom. Zero privacy for the second person. Very disappointed.

Not a great experience. The access code I was given was incorrect, which caused a hassle and lost time when we arrived. I happened to see the upstairs neighbor (who I thought might be the property owner) and he was rude when I asked for help. He did later apologize and said he just hates that his landlord rents this place out. Then we got inside. Calling this a 2 bedroom is quite misleading, one of them is just part of a hallway (with a couch and not a bed). In the morning, I was bummed to see there were only three bath towels, even though I had booked the unit for five people. Some of us had to dry off with wash cloths. I let the property owner know, and he said he would have some towels delivered. Unfortunately, more wash cloths were delivered in place of towels. I again reached out to the property owner, who then got some bath towels delivered. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again and would advise anyone else to stay somewhere else.

Just what we needed

Beautiful location. Close to Berkeley Bowl, a local grocery store, and a park. We enjoyed coffee at home and morning walks in the beautiful neighborhood. Clean and has everything you need for your stay.

Great spot in Berkeley

This is a nice place to stay in a safe neighbourhood. Walking distance to many restaurants and other amenities, as well as close to public transit. We had a rental car and never had a problem finding street parking. The host was VERY kind and responsive. We had an issue with the upstairs neighbour that was quickly resolved, and the faulty coffee maker was changed out within hours. If there’s an issue, let him know and it will certainly be taken care of. I’d highly recommend this Vrbo!

We came for my daughter's graduation. Everything went great. Very quiet neighborhood. We had some family members arriving on checkout day and we needed a place for them to nap. Jonny waa very flexible to help us out.

Renter beware

This unit is essentially a long hallway from the front of a building to the back. All rooms much be walked through to get to the next. The 2nd “bedroom/office” is a space that has to be walked through to get to the bedroom. Our biggest issue is that the listing says there is a queen murphy bed (which is a real bed with a real mattress) and instead there is a pleather/plastic fold down futon that is hard and extremely uncomfortable. The queen bed that is in bedroom is in a corner and a 2nd person has to climb over the 1st to get in/out of bed. In addition the front half of the unit seems to have heat while the back half does not and is very cold. The final straw was that we were aggressively yelled at in the driveway by the upstairs neighbor who approached our car and yelled “Who are you?!!” And when we told him he was very upset, swearing and apparently did not know (or approve) of the unit as a short term rental. I will say that after complaining this owner gave us a partial refund but please be aware that this is not a unit that comfortably sleeps 5 and has many issues.
