Get away to the mountains and enjoy year round fun at our home "Mountain Air". Surrounded by pine trees you will feel miles from civilization in our quiet setting but only really be a few minutes from everything Deep Creek Lake has to offer. You can spend time with family around our fire pit, take in the evening breeze on the porch swing, or soak in the hot tub. The kids can play basketball on the paved driveway, tackle the swing set, or have a blast on the tree swing. Kids of all ages can shoot a game of pool.

We provide a MD State Park pass for your use during your stay. The MD State Park pass allows you (1 vehicle, up to 10 people) free entry to any state park, unlimited boat launching at the park, and 10% discount on all state-operated concessions items.

Firewood is included and available at the house for you to use in the fire pit!

Our home is well stocked with all the essentials you will need in your home away from home. Sheets, linens, beach towels, and some paper goods are all provided. Accurate guest counts are important to ensure correct supplies are provided. We also have a gas grill (propane provided) along with a well appointed kitchen with lots of extra appliances including mixers, single brew and standard drip coffee makers, microwave, coffee grinder, blender, utensils, serving ware, etc. We have a restaurant style child's highchair along with a plastic set of plates and cups.

The primary bedroom (king) is on the top floor and has a private full bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower. The loft, with futon, overlooks the main living area and also has a "work corner" with desk if needed. Two more bedrooms (queen and queen+twin bunks) share another full bathroom on the main level. A secondary king bedroom is tucked away on the lower floor connected to the game room. The living room has a stone fireplace with electric logs and plenty of seating for the entire crew. Downstairs, the game rooms is ready to go with pellet stove for those colder nights, pool table, comfy sofas, arcade machine, small bar area, and a half bath. We have exterior security cameras that are enabled when the house is vacant. Unlike most of the other properties in the area, we manage our own home and do not add resort fees, surcharges, admin fees, guest fees, or hot tub fees.

We want your family to come and enjoy our home and the surrounding Deep Creek Lake area including hiking, skiing, horse back riding, sailing, boating, tubing, etc. Be sure to checkout the Oakland Farm Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays all summer.

Our calendar is accurate and we make every effort to respond to inquiries within a few hours. Book today to ensure you can visit Deep Creek Lake, MD and make memories in our home “Mountain Air”.

4WD/AWD or snow tires are always recommended for the area during the Winter months of November – March.

Great Winter Getaway

We had a wonderful time. The house is very nice, comfortable, and offers plenty of opportunities for fun and relaxation. Nearby stores, Wisp, and Swallow Falls, but tucked away with a feeling you have it all to yourself. Hosts are easy going, friendly, and prompt.

Perfect Lake House

We really enjoyed our stay at Rick’s place. The house exceeded our expectations. Everything was spotless clean, very well organized with clear instructions. Beds and couches are really comfortable, and they also have a play area great for kids and teens. We really hope to be back soon!

Nice, well maintained home in a great location

The house was nicely decorated, well-maintained, had every amenity that you could think of available and was in a great location. Would be a perfect spot for a variety of vacationers. Plus, the owners were very nice and checked on us right after we arrived to make sure that everything was good and that we didn’t have any questions.

Great place for a getaway in Deep Creek MD

We enjoyed our stay at your home. It met our needs. The hot tub was newer and it worked well and we used it daily! The appliances were all in great shape! The kitchen and family rooms were a perfect size. The only two recommendations would be some new cookware and an updated outdoor grill. Although the existing items worked out fine, it took some time to clean the grill before cooking on it and our eggs were tough to cook in the pan because they stuck to the pan. Everything else was spot on!

Look no further…

Literally, look no further than this little slice of Heaven!! This house is close to everything, but you feel you are away from everyone! You’ll see plenty of deer and bucks in the yard! The yard also has plenty of space to throw football, play tag, or whatever you want to do! My kids loved the swings and the hot tub! Inside you’ll enter into a cozy, but spacious home! The house is spotless! The kitchen has everything you need - even dish soap and sponges/towels. You’ll also have towels, wash cloths, and toiletries for your stay! We were able to wash our towels throughout the weekend since there was detergent and dryer sheets! The beds are comfortable and cozy! The basement is amazing - Pac-Man, TV, wood burner, pool table, and a closet with toys! My kids loved the chalkboard! Seriously - I have stayed in so many places and this was the BEST! Nothing beat waking up our first morning there to steady snow accumulating on the ground! With the big picturesque windows and warm fireplace- it created the perfect ambiance! We cannot wait to come back!! I have absolutely NO complaints!

Making memories

I wish to convey my appreciation and compliments to you for the way you people have organized the facility. Everything was laid out in the house in total perfection convincing me to believe about your personal indulgence in the upkeep of the interiors. 4WD Required For Winter Access

We were unable to utilize the house for three full days of our contracted rental due to poor treatment of the driveway. Owner’s plow service plowed but did not treat the nearly 100-yard long drive with salt or sand. One of our cars slid off and had to be towed out. Ultimately, we could only navigate the drive and access the house with a borrowed 4 wheel-drive vehicle. We notified the owner repeatedly and he called the plow service, which repeatedly plowed but failed to properly treat the drive. Even accessing the lockbox was treacherous because it required walking on a snow and ice-packed walk that had not been shoveled. We asked about the plow service and driveway when we first booked the property and were assured there was a daily service. We do do not recommend renting this property in winter UNLESS you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
