No matter what you're looking for, look no further. Our home offers a peaceful more secluded area that is only 6. minutes from Wisp Ski Resort, and minutes away from some of the best restaurants and bars in town. We have a spacious parking, large deck, new kitchen, coffee bar, game room and so much more!! All linens are included!

Was a nice getaway

I would say that this place is beautiful at a glance. It needs a more deep clean. It has gorgeous high ceilings but since they are high the spider webs probably don’t get cleaned regularly. In the seating area upstairs, my daughter got some spider bites. The kitchen cabinets had food stains on them. They also could use new utensils and pans. The stove knobs didn’t work properly so you had to be cautious and be sure they were actually turned off. The microwave was pretty cool and different. They also should replace their towels. They looked very worn. I bought some at Walmart to use. The place has the right look just needs a little more attention to make it great. I suggest it getting a deep clean and getting white towels and linens so that they can be bleached after each use. I did message Maggie about the cleanliness of the place and she responded quickly to let me know that she would be popping in after our stay to see how the cleaning people did. I didn’t have pics to offer because when we seen something that needed to be taken care of, we did it. Like the towels. We also had an issue with it being very cold and when I messaged, she was quickly responsive and adjusted the heat setting from where she was . All and all we made the best of the time there and nothing stopped us from being able to enjoy ourselves. I know everyone’s clean is different but when you spend that kind of money, you do expect for the place to be very clean.

Lovely, secluded getaway

My mother, son, daughter in law and I had a relaxing, enjoyable weekend at this home. We watched movies, played board games, and were on the lookout for wildlife. We were hoping to see some bears but only saw a few deer. (Smile) It’s a lovely, well kept home with a beautiful distant view of the lake. You will enjoy your stay at this home!

We stayed here close to friends who own places at Deep Creek, MD and also we had 9 people who were attending the PSU-WVU game. This place worked out perfectly for the game and a getaway at the end of the summer.

Great place for a mixed age group

We had a great time at this house! It’s a great location in Deep Creek with a beautiful view. The house is as shown in the pictures. We loved the little touches like having binoculars around the house so we could look across the lake. We had four adults, three kids and two dogs, plenty of room for all of us. One of favorite things to do was cuddle up with a movie at night and have a fire going in the fireplace!

Great long weekend stay in the middle of everything

We had a great time here with our family and friends. The downstairs had plenty of options to keep the kids entertained (although the wall mounted jukebox doesn't play or have CDs). Plenty of space for both our families, a great kitchen, huge deck that look out towards the lake, and an outdoor hot tub to relax in. Rooms were all clean, towels were provided which was a huge help, and the beds were all very comfortable. The best part was that it was only about a 10 minute drive in either direction for loads to do. We went hiking at the state park, did the alpine coasters at Wisp, went to Bear Creek traders, enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace, went out to a brewery and visited the Retro Arcade that had some great pinball and arcade games from days past (at a great price). Super fun weekend, would love to come back when it's warmer to actually enjoy the lake. If you are coming in the winter, the hill up to this place is no joke! Gravel, very steep and uneven. Signs are posted that you need 4WD or chains in the winter and I would say this is absolutely true. Great views of the lake once you're at the top though!

Friends weekend 2024

6 friends went for a weekend getaway. Plenty of space in this home. Very nice house on top of the mountain with a lake view. Just like the pictures show. I would recommend it for a family or friends.

Great Holiday Vacation!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay during the holidays. The house was perfect and in a perfect location. Has everything you need and is a simply beautiful home. The owner Maggie was so responsive and attentive. We had a small issue with the heat on our first night due to freezing temps in the area. Maggie had heaters brought to us at 11pm. She also checked on us the following morning. She went above and beond to make sure my family had a great stay. My family looks forward to booking this home again in the future. 10 out of 10!

Relaxing, private getaway with close proximity to town center and lake-side attractions

We cannot thank Brad and Maggie enough for hosting us at their beautiful home in Oakland, MD. The stay offered comfortable accommodations, I closing multiple king-sized beds which helped to maximize comfort for our group. From the spacious and modern kitchen, you can walk out to the private deck which includes a gas grill. Below, we enjoyed the fire pit, and the option of using the the hot tub. Last but it least, Brad and Maggie were I credibly responsive leading up to our stay, which allowed us to checkin and relax immediately. Great stay all around, we would certainly return and highly recommend this stay for groups and families!

Amazing Vacation

This house was amazing!! The description and pictures were exactly what we expected plus more! This house was very private and included wildlife every night and morning. If you are looking for a home that entertains adults and children, this is it. I had lots of questions for for Maggie. She responded quickly every time and was extremely helpful. Don’t hesitate to rent this home. You won’t be disappointed!!!
