☆☆ THE SPACE ☆☆
Here's the day this house is built for: coffee's brewing by 6, you're through the south gate before the day-trippers are up — giant sequoias first, then waterfalls — and by evening the boots are off at the door, dinner's on the grill, and the hot tub is already hot. Tucked onto private oak woodland shaded by tall Ponderosa pines, this single-story home sleeps 8 across 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, all on one level with no stairs (easy for grandparents and little ones alike). An easy, flat paved drive fits 5 vehicles — no steep mountain road, no loose gravel. An efficient central heat-pump system with a smart thermostat keeps every room comfortable, and on warm evenings a whole-house fan pulls cool night air through the windows so you can sleep to a mountain breeze. Between park days, give Bass Lake a full afternoon — marina boat and kayak rentals, sandy swim beaches, dinner on the water — then home to soak, shuffleboard, sleep, repeat.

Every bedroom has a plush 14" memory-foam mattress with fresh linens, ceiling-to-floor blackout coverings, a ceiling fan, bedside USB-C/USB-A charging, and its own walk-in closet.
- Primary Bedroom (King) — a spacious suite with a private ensuite (walk-in glass shower), 65" Smart TV, a dedicated workspace, and a private door to the deck.
- King Bedroom — a comfortable king room with a 55" Smart TV and a cozy sitting area by the window.
- Queen Bedroom — a restful queen room, ideal for a couple or the kids.
- Queen Bedroom — a second cozy queen room, a quiet retreat for a couple or the kids.
Every bed is a King or Queen (no twins or bunks), so a group of 8 adults will share.

Bright, open-concept living with a 75" Samsung Smart TV (Roku) and a dining table that seats all 8. A sleek wood pellet stove throws warm fire-glow on frosty evenings (pellets + how-to provided). The full kitchen handles a 6 a.m. trail breakfast and a dinner for eight: electric cooktop, a French-door fridge with filtered water and ice, and all the small appliances you'd hope for — plus a Nespresso machine (pods provided), a Cuisinart drip, and an electric kettle. In-unit washer and dryer, and a dedicated workspace in the primary bedroom (desk, chair, lamp) with speed-tested WiFi — 300 Mbps at the desk, 220–500 house-wide.

☆☆ THE GAME ROOM ☆☆
The dedicated Game Room is why the nights are as good as the days. A Nintendo Switch 2 (Mario Kart World, Super Smash Bros — 4 controllers, so nobody sits out) on its own 75" Smart TV, a poker set, and a 57" round game table (leave a 1,000-piece puzzle out all week). The shelf covers 4-year-olds to grandparents — chess, Codenames, Ticket to Ride, Uno — plus a giant tumbling tower. Its own mini-split keeps it cool all day: your plan for a rainy or too-hot-to-hike afternoon.

☆☆ OUTSIDE & HOT TUB ☆☆
The covered deck runs the length of the home — two ceiling fans, an outdoor sofa, and a 6-person dining table under the pines. Fire up the Weber gas BBQ, and string lights glow on at dusk. Step down to the fenced backyard, a gated lawn where little ones can play within eyeshot. Cap the night in the Sundance hot tub, kept hot year-round and ready the moment your boots come off — on a clear night you'll see more stars than you have in years. Plush spa towels provided.
Hot tub safety: no children under 5; ages 5+ with active adult supervision; swimsuits required; no glass; secure the locking cover after use.

☆☆ GUEST ACCESS & SECURITY ☆☆
The entire home is yours — all 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, game room, full kitchen, covered deck, fenced backyard, hot tub, BBQ, the free EV charger, and the driveway (fits 5 cars). Self check-in via smart lock. The garage and detached outbuilding are owner storage and aren't included. For security there are two exterior cameras — a video doorbell at the front entry and a driveway camera above the garage — both facing outdoor entry/parking only. There are no cameras inside the home and none aimed at any private area.

☆☆ THE AREA ☆☆
Oakhurst is the gateway town to Yosemite — groceries, coffee, and restaurants within 5–10 minutes, from South Gate Brewing Company to lakeside dinners at Ducey's on Bass Lake.

- Yosemite Valley: ~1 hour beyond the gate — plan a full day

☆☆ GOOD TO KNOW ☆☆
- Yosemite entry: no timed-entry reservation required for 2026 (park pass/entrance fee still applies); rules can change year to year, so check the official NPS Yosemite site before your trip.
- Bear country: keep all food and trash indoors, never in your car.
- Municipal water, safe to drink from the tap. Cell is strong on Verizon (other carriers vary; WiFi calling works throughout).
- Single-level, no stairs — easier for many mobility needs, though not a certified ADA-accessible property. Message us with specific needs and we'll be honest about fit.

- Max 8 guests — the number on your reservation is the number we host, day and night.
- No parties or events — strict, zero exceptions (quiet residential home in a high fire-hazard area).
- No pets (allergy-friendly home); service animals welcome as required by law.
- Outside smoking only. Quiet hours 10 PM–8 AM. Primary guest must be 25+ (insurance requirement).
- Check-in 3 PM · Check-out 10 AM.
