My friends and I were so excited to stay at this property as it was a great location, only about 30 mins from the entrance to Yosemite. The first night was great! Until I woke up in the morning with a bite on my face. I thought it was a spider, nothing the host can do about that, totally understand. My friend thought she felt something "run across her face" but was unsure. We later found a mouse/rat poop on another guest's pillow. So we can assume a mouse ran across her face that night. The last night we also found bed bugs in the bed I was sleeping in, which is what bit my face and 10 other spots on my body. The final morning we were packing up and saw mouse poop all in the kitchen cabinets. Gross.
I contacted both the host and Expedia/Vrbo and did not get the best treatment. I had to fight for a partial refund. Initially got a $100 giftcard for a future stay. I fought for cash refund and got $200 out of the total $950. I fought further for the cleaning deposit, which was $150, and they were not going to give it to me until I fought for it some more.
Very disappointed with how this trip went, I understand things happen, but the disrespect while trying to get our money back, was not okay. We should have gotten the full refund.
