This cozy home is located in the quiet wooded area of Oak Island, but still very conveniently located to the beach just one street over via a walkway that includes a seating area where you can sit and enjoy the marsh and its wildlife.  This home is perfect for anyone who may have trouble with stairs, as it is all ground level!  The decorations inside offer a very calming and soothing feel as you relax with family and friends in an open-concept living room and kitchen area or if you want to chill out for a while in the privacy of your bedroom.  The fully fenced backyard boasts a lot to offer for you and your furry friend. You can relax and enjoy a delicious meal on the screened porch or sit around the fire pit reminiscing old stories and grill the best hamburgers and hot dogs you ever tasted on the charcoal grill as the sun goes down.  This home is the perfect escape and will leave you wanting to stay another week!

5 stars definitely. Wonderfully decorated and clean. Family friendly . I loved especially the location of the walkway on 20th down the street to the beach. I felt very safe in the area as well as beautiful views. Also great customer support from better beach rentals from Charlene. She was able to extend our stay for an extra night since there was availability for an extra night before the next guests got there. Wonderful all around . Personally my first time using a Vrbo rental and will be doing it again on our next stay in oak island. Big thank you to our host for allowing us to stay at your home, and god bless.

Long weekend relaxation

We stayed a long weekend with family and the pup. Had all amenities, fenced backyard for the dog, easy walk to the beach across the scenic walkway, comfy beds, and overall nice place. Would definitely recommend.

Oak Island house

We were totally satisfied with this house in Oak Island. We brought our pets and the fenced in back yard was very nice for them. We would stay at this house again. Very clean and nice home.

Terrible Stay

The property wasn't cleaned before we arrived. The front door was standing wide open when we got there. The kitchen chairs were broken. We went to the hardware store and purchased supplies to fix them. The back patio was nasty with leaves all over it. The floors had not been swept in any of the rooms. There was hair and lint under the beds and stuck to the dining room tables. Couch in living room was worn out. Better Beach Rentals is horrible. No communication about front door being left open. I left this house 100% better than I found it.

Nice place a bit far from the beach

This is a nice place. Clean and the backyard is great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the kitchen utensils were cheap. This always makes cooking difficult when your fighting with the can opener or the pots and pans. Otherwise its a great place.

Perfect getaway

2 Looney Dunes was the perfect getaway home for my husband, myself and our dog. Quiet neighborhood, nice fenced in back yard for our dog and lovely screened in patio to enjoy the outdoors. The homes interior was tastefully decorated and clean. Definitely would stay here again.

Family+Beach+Dogs=Bliss

Great property, clean, and in a nice neighborhood. Loved the privacy of the fenced in yard. The nearest walkway to the beach was washed out, and added a 1/2 mile walk- but it all worked out. Definitely recommend the property to other families.

Could have been better

Everything was clean and house was perfect for us with fenced in yard. Our beagle was able to run. The only things that went wrong was the refrigerator never got cold, sinks backed up in master and secondary baths, terrible smell In master closet. Towels where very scratchy

Lovely Home-very comfortable.

Had a great time, the house was clean and had plenty of room for everyone. Enjoyed the backyard as the young children could play outside without someone being with them every minute. Close to the beach and other attractions. Really a lovely place.
