  • Cozy waterfront cottage with all the comforts of home. The Way Way Back is the perfect spot to get away! Relax and enjoy the stunning sunsets on the private dock with hammock.

    Rustic charm meats modern comforts, this cottage features a well-equipped kitchen and inviting bedrooms as well as baseboard heating and a cozy wood fireplace, ensuring comfort on those chilly Spring and Fall nights. Fans are provided for hotter nights however the windows all have screens that open for you to enjoy the cool evening summer breeze and sounds of nature.

    Enjoy your dinners cooked outside with the propane BBQ provided. A spacious wooden deck and front yard provides ample space for relaxation and dining outdoors, equipped with Adirondack chairs and a wooden table and benches that overlook the water.

    Gradual sloped rock makes entry to the water easy for swimming, though we do recommend water shoes as it can be slippery at times.

    Scenic and tranquil neighborhood situated on the shores of Lake Huron. Approximately 7-10 minutes from popular attractions: Tobermory, Bruce Peninsula National Park (the Grotto), Little Cove, Singing Sands and Fathom Five National Marine Park (by boat).

    Nearby towns provide additional amenities including shopping, dining, and entertainment options, as well as many trails and conservation areas.

    A vehicle is required to get around the Peninsula.

    2 night off season minimum.
    Weekly (Friday to Friday) July & August (peak season)
    Maximum occupancy for this cottage is 4 adults and 2 children.

Beautiful Huron sunsets, and more than enough beds for my family of four. This place was just the sort of time away we needed after a busy school year and before a busy Toronto visit.

An amazing property with a beautiful dock/waterfront. The cottage is cosy and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

The Way Way Back cottage was a great place to get away and relax. The Bay was great to swim in at we had access to paddle boards, kayaks. Sunsets were beautiful! Many nights looking up at the clear sky’s and stars. The cottage was close to everything in town.

Weekend in Review

We had a nice weekend away at this cottage. The property and cottage itself is as described in the ad; nothing is misleading or inaccurate. The cottage was very organized and clean. We were impressed with the sunsets and outdoor opportunities nearby. We would recommend this location to our family and friends. Thank you.

Charming location

Cottage was very comfortable, with beautiful views of the lake. Very rocky shoreline that extended all the way out into the lake. Very slippery, even with water shoes, and not suitable for young children. There should be a ladder on the dock to get in and out of water. Cutlery and kitchen implements were borderline. Nice fire pit area right in front. It was handy having access to washer and dryer.
