The host was great. The apartment was ver clean and great for what we needed! We would stay again, only thing we would do is bring a smaller vehicle. As we had a Silverado and the parking was tight.

Good stay!!

Amazing stay. Some photos on the listing dont show the kitchen in this property. And it is a shorter apartment. But amazing communication, good access to public transit, and EXTREMELY kind and helpful prperty owner.

Perfect location!

Jose’s studio is the ideal location if you are looking for a place close to NYC, but not in the thick of it. Only a 10 minute drive to the water taxi. From door to door, took a total of 30minutes to get into Manhattan. Jose was super communicative and made sure to answer any and all questions. Would stay again if we are in the area!

The pictures are not accurate. Only some of the pictures show the true studio. The studio was clean, and somewhat updated, however there was no closet to hang clothes, no dressers to put clothes. The full size bed mattress was saggy and lumpy. This basement studio is part of a house divided into apartments, or vacation stays and can get noisy. It was not the best nor the worse place we've ever stayed.

Great location- close to public transportation to get into NYC. Apartment was clean and nice, and Jose was very responsive and helpful. We recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Great stay with a home feel

The property was unassuming enough. Once you open the door it is a very nice set up and you feel comfortable. The accommodations were clean and you can tell this space is well maintained. However, for people over 6 feet the ceilings are low and I had to duck to get into the bathroom. Jose was responsive to my questions and concerns. There were some ants on my 4th day due to the rain but nothing too bad, I was provided bug spray. The neighborhood is nice but it is a little far from the action which makes it quiet. To get to NYC there is only one bus ride. It’s only 3 miles away from Manhattan but the bus ride usually takes 30 minutes. A lot of my friends are in Brooklyn so that took a very long time to get to but if you’re going to be in NYC this could work without a rental car. I would stay there again.

Very nice stay

We enjoyed our stay in this small apartment. It’s perfect for couples who want to travel to new york city on a budget. It’s an easy 40 min bus ride to the city. The apartment was very clean and totally fine for a 5 day stay. Communication with Jose was also very nice and he responded very fast.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable

I needed a clean, quiet, safe and affordable place to stay while in NYC. This place fit the bill. Jose, the host, was great and very responsive. The bus commute is doable and depending on the time of day not bad. I’ll definitely come back.

Pretty decent, just disappointed that the hot tub and pool were under construction. Would’ve been nice if that was included in description, so I wouldn’t think that we can use it especially if it’s included with amenities like in the description, overall it was a good stay place was up to date and quiet very comfortable environment

Good stay for good price

Like others said, it is a great option for an affordable stay! The place is small but filled with all you may need. It is clear Jose is continuously trying to improve guests' experience as he has updated his amenities to include things like a microwave and nice bedding. It might be nice to also include some shampoo in the shower. Overall, nice stay AND host, also really close to the bus station to get into New York.

Convenient Studio Near NYC

Convenient studio offering easy access to NYC. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, providing valuable information on navigating public transportation to and from New York City. One suggestion for improvement would be to install a light at the entrance. During the night, finding the keys without using the flashlight on my phone was a bit challenging due to the lack of light.

Great for our trip to NYC

To start with, Jose was the best host possible. Before we arrived on New York he sent me detailed directions of how to get from JFK airport to the rental, using mass transportation. That was extremely helpful. The house is small but we spent nearly no time there so it was just fine. The house could have been a little cleaner such as there was leftover food in the fridge and a used toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. And the walls are pretty thin so you can hear people walking around upstairs. To travel in to New York City, there is a bus stops walkable from the house. It took us around 40 minutes to get to time square. Overall this place suited our needs just fine for our trip to New York, especially for the price.

Very Good Budget Option for NYC

The host of this property is very helpful. The property is, as advertised, a below ground level studio apartment convenient to NYC. Mass transportation, restaurants, and retail shops are just a short walk away. A typical trip on the bus to NYC takes about 45 minutes. The apartment had everything I needed for a short stay.

Great communication and amenities, just 30 min out of dowtown NYC with the bus. Would be great to have a nightstand lamp and actual forks and knives instead of plastic stuff.
