Our house is close to Curio Bay, Niagara Ridge Retreat is a modern holiday house with spectacular views of the Waikawa harbour, valley and sea. The house is situated high above the Waikawa township and 10 mins drive to delightful Curio Bay. This amazing property will enhance your Catlins experience. Also relax in our outdoor spa pool and enjoy the views this property has to offer. It is private and peaceful and is situated on the Southern Scenic Route.

Great retreat or a base to explore.

We stayed 3 nights. The view is the star of this accommodation. The house is clean and welcoming, zoned, with lux inclusions like the big tv, spa pool, deep bath, double rain head shower, open plan living/ kitchen and large garden set in rural location away from it all - Retreat. However, it is equally a great base to explore nature in the Catlins. High recommended.

What a pleasure

Clean, tidy, spacious with a view that would be hard to beat. If you want a peaceful and restful break away from it all, then this is the place. Handily placed for the local walks and sights. We will be back

Picture perfect!

Fantastic modern property with all the amenities you need in the most breathtaking setting. Stargazing in the spa, sunrise over the inlet, with new lambs frolicking in the paddocks. Our photos don’t do our brilliant stay justice!

Perfect getaway

We has a wonderful couple of days stay. The house is perfect- comfortable, has everything you need for a getaway. Be sure to bring your own groceries as there are no shops anywhere nearby, but kitchen well stocked with pots, dishes etc for cooking. The view from the hot tub is gorgeous and beds comfortable- but dont get so lured in by the comfort of the house that you miss some of the incredible natural country. We went down to Curio bay for a dip in the water (which is cold, I wont lie- but you can warm up after in the hot tub!) and were lucky enough to catch the curiosity of the local dolphins who came and frolicked around with us for a while. Definitely worth braving the chilly water for. Also enjoyed a beautiful short hike at Koropuku Falls. Both places are only 10-15 minutes drive from the house and we were extra lucky in that there were hardly any people around so really felt like an escape from the city and business of life. I would go back and stay again in a heartbeat!

Jewel of the South

Have been down to stay in the Catlins a few times but this place is truly special. Modern, warm, with a spectacular view and an outdoor spa bath from which to enjoy it. Highly recommended!

Wonderful!!

A good place to stay to explore the Catlin coast. In Niagara there is a small restaurant that is organic but Yummy. They bake their own bread. The house is beautiful. Just as described.
