We were pretty well-located, out of the major hubbub of downtown (we were there over New Years Eve) with food, restaurants and metro about a 5 minute walk away. Storage in the main bedroom was lacking and it felt a bit rundown. However, the space was comfortable for the 6 of us. The main issue we had was finding garbage gone through and food on the counter and their packaging eaten by either a mouse or more likely a rat. The garbage can did not have a lid. There was poop on the little shelves right next to the bean bag chair by the fireplace. When I contacted the manager, all he said was « are you telling me there are mice »? I said yes, and didn’t hear back. Disappointing, but we were only there for a few days and made do.

Overall we liked the house and it’s very convenient in location. Comfortable beds. Plenty of common space. One of two toilets kept having minor plumbing issues. Hot water heater didn’t work at all our last day. Nice to have washer and drier. Bring your own laundry detergent.

Very unprofessional, 0 communication. I had to communicate with customer service just for him to tell me that the unit wasn’t available although I paid. I was left stranded and forced to find a place hours later when the issue could’ve been resolved with basic communication.

The house is lovely and exactly as advertised. However, we had to ask 3 times for check in instructions which were finally sent after 3pm the day of arrival. When we arrived at 1am that night, we were unable to open the door indicated using the code provided. After calling the host multiple times we learned that the instructions sent were to a different unit and that we’d been given the wrong door code. We were able to get in at that point and had no more issues for the rest of the stay.

Spacious and very clean house, perfect for visiting with our son and having a place to gather around a large table and relax in a comfy living room. The place is as large as the photos indicate - no tricks. XAVIER IS FANTASTIC, helping us get in on arrival, offering to arrange transportation to LGA on departure, very responsive to all requests.

Nice property but just “ok” hospitality.

Everything was just ok. The property was spacious and had really nice bones. However there was an odor, the skylight had cobwebs that had clearly been there for quite some time. There were no washcloths at all, though Xavier ended up bringing us some after I asked. There were some welcome snacks so that was nice. I think the most notable thing was that Xavier was a bit curt, bordering on rude, during our text interactions. For instance, when I asked “ Thank you! Where is best to park?” His response was, “Look outside the house.” I had to follow up with more questions and generally his affect via text did not meet an impressive level of hospitality. In general it felt as though the property manager affect is that because it’s centrally located and spacious they didn’t have to put as much effort into hosting well. They did help us out by taking a nice group photo of us before we left, which I appreciated.

Great for groups!

The communal living spaces on the first floor were spacious. We would have breakfast together as a family in the morning. All the A/Cs worked which was key for these very warm and humid days. Upstairs, the beds were comfortable. Yes, some of the finishes are older, but I've lived in NY before and know that it's also part of the charm. For the price for our group of 7, it was a great deal. The place was nice and close to the subway. Delis near by were great for sandwiches in a pinch. We also got dinner from John Brown BBQ a block away which was delicious. Host was very kind and left us amend our reservation and issued a refund.

Great stay in Long Island City

Our group consisted of 5 women in the city for a family bridal shower. This unit met our needs perfectly. The beds were all very comfortable, plentiful hot water, and a cool long dining table to eat together or just sit around and chat. We had everything we needed and access to transportation nearby. Our one request for extra towels was satisfied extremely quickly (within 5 minutes). We highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again.

This was an excelling location. So if that’s your priority it’s perfect. It was also clean. However, there were issues with the Wi-Fi the entire time as well as the power going out. There were no extra linens or blankets and minimal towels. The couches were very old and in very poor condition making it hard to sit and relax in the front room. There was also construction going on in the basement property most every day we were there. We were not notified prior to the visit that there would be construction in the home and it was loud and disruptive. I felt like that is something you should lets guests know before they arrive.

Big Space in a Big City

I was in Queens for my daughter's wedding and wanted to be able to host a dinner and a brunch for our family and her new husband's family. This space was perfect for that. Lots of space to hang out in, two bathrooms, laundry and a functioning kitchen. . . all of which are so hard to find in NYC. Plus the host was helpful and kind. This is a gem if you want to host a lot of people in the city.

Spacious and convenient

My husband and I stayed at this house during our wedding weekend with some friends and family. The house was huge — much bigger than expected in New York. We never felt like it was cramped or that we were on top of each other, with ample space for 7 people. Everything was clean and the house felt secure and safe, and it was a bonus that it’s in a walkable location with quick access to trains and restaurants. The host was quick to respond to messages and very helpful. The only feedback I have is to double check that the correct check-in instructions are sent since we were originally given the wrong door code and WiFi information. It wasn’t a problem since the host responded with updated info immediately. A very pleasant stay overall!

Amazing

Location is super close to Manhattan/Astoria, 15-20 mins. Accessible to all the subways. Very safe to walk home after midnight. Plenty of places to eat within 5-10 mins walk. House is spacious and has old school charm. Host was very responsive and thoughtful, couldn’t have picked a better place.
