"No temp control in room. Not the usual amenities of a higher priced hotel. Room had no window to look out of. Depressing and they told me we had been upgraded Over 500.00 a night. Not appropriate pricing Location is excellent but still…"

"The service was excellent. One day they forgot to clean out room but the reaccions of the team was very good and professional. The only bad thing was the noise from the street. I think that there was a building close by in construction. "

"The location was great. Good size room for NYC. It was quiet. Has a cute bar. Would definitely stay here again."

"Location is central to a lot of tourist attractions. Seconds to Times Square, close to Central Park, tons of nearby shopping and restaurants. Staff at check in were very friendly. The lobby has a very pleasant smell and the chaos from outside is left at the door. The lobby and rooms are quiet and very clean. "Staff were delightful"

"We loved our stay at The Civilian. We have been er stayed in this part of town and it was awesome. The hotel is very chic w beautiful spaces and nice views. The room was very small but to be expected in NY. The bed was comfy and the shower was great. The complimentary breakfast was great and served in a beautiful room. It felt very European. We found awesome bars and restaurants in the hood as well as on property - the rooftop bar was so cool. Def recommend!"
