Remodeled 3BR/2BA Ski Chalet off Tyro Slope

This quaint remodeled Austrian styled 3BR/2BA ski chalet just one row off the Tyro Slopes. The unit has been completely renovated inside and out including new siding, new insulation, new kitchen, new bathrooms with heated floors, all new flooring and paint throughout, new deck, and expanded parking. This house is extremely convenient to all of the amenities of Wintergreen, a Four Season resort nestled next to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Nelson County. The house is less than 1 minute from the main resort and ski lifts. You can ski in/out by walking down our rear steps and between the houses behind us on Tyro slope. No need to drive and park at the resort.

There's plenty of drama in this house featuring the main floor great room with a whole house cathedral ceiling and wood stove. The completely rebuilt wrap around deck overlooks the Tyro slope and has fantastic mountain and valley views of Waynesboro and Crozet. Downstairs are 3 bedrooms all with new foam mattress beds (Queen/Queen/2 Twins) and linens. There is a cozy screen room off the master that also has mountain views. There is parking for three vehicles in the newly expanded parking pad out front, plus street parking behind the house on Tyro Lane.

There are two completely remodeled full baths, one includes a stacked front load high efficiency full sized washer and dryer. The gourmet kitchen is spacious and bright and has a stove, exhaust hood, refrigerator with an ice/water dispenser, microwave, dishwasher and disposal. There is a full set of dishes, utensils, and glasses to easily handle 6 guests.

Great Getaway!

Everything was great! Easy booking. Easy to get to. Description was 100% accurate. Easy check out. Cooked meals in a great kitchen. Nice and safe atmosphere there at the cabin. Enjoyed time in the hot tub. And an added bonus, a bird has built a nest in the wreath in the door, she served as our welcoming committee each time we passed by.

Wintergreen Ski Chalet

Ski Chalet at Wintergreen was exactly as advertised. The location was great, house was well appointed and super clean. Everything you need to enjoy a family ski trip. I would definitely book again.

Nicely updated property

Property was updated nicely and had heated bathroom floors. Across the street from lower tyro slope, so you have to walk across the street and up and down a little hill between houses. Hot tub was nice with a good view of the mountains in winter. My family fully enjoyed ataying here and would stay again.

Great spot at Wintergreen

This was a perfect little spot for the four of us and our furball. Pet friendly places can be hard to find, but this was perfect for us. The location is great for the area, if you know Wintergreen you know all about Blackrock Circle and that side of the resort. In warmer weather it would be walkable to the country store and resort buildings, and the community garbage is conveniently close by without being a nuisance. Hot tub was great, and the wood burning stove was a nice option on the coldest night. Kitchen was well equipped and the main floor great room was very comfortable. There were no window coverings on the upstairs floor, so that felt a little exposed, but there’s not a lot of traffic there generally and the bedrooms are on the lower floor and plenty private, so not a big deal. Maybe something to consider in the future. Host was helpful with the communication and provided the right balance of information and privacy. All in all, this was a great rental, we’ll keep it on our list for future stays up here.

Snowboarding trip/peaceful retreat

The house is clean and just as described online. The beds were comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the heated floors in the bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed. We loved how close the home was to all the restaurants and slopes. We would definitely stay here again!

Cosy and comfortable

Really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was great and very well maintained. It's right next to the Tyro slope (Blue) so if you're a skier then I definitely recommend it. Heated floors in the bathroom were a very pleasant surprise :)

Best property we've stayed at!

This property was the best furnished that I've ever experienced from VRBO. The property was exceptionally clean, provided a fully stocked kitchen, ample linens and a beautiful location and convenient to the resort. We had a great winter weather week and got to enjoy skiing and tubing at the resort. The property is a short walk and shorter drive to the amenities at Wintergreen and truly a great getaway. Thank you for a beautiful property and we will be back!

Fabulous getaway was everything we needed

Clean, adorable, perfect accommodations. It truly was a perfect time. Since we’re all schoolteachers, we chose to book over Thanksgiving Break, and took all the fixings to make our Thanksgiving meal… I’ve never stayed in a getaway property with SUCH A WELL-STOCKED KITCHEN!! Adequate casserole dishes, meat thermometer, tongs, measuring spoons and cups, insulated tumblers, various ziplock and aluminum foils, etc. We couldn’t have asked for a better space to feast and rest! Many breweries and restaurants close, adorable market within walking distance, supremely dog-friendly community. Thank you for a wonderful week!
