"Fully refurbished room within a newly refurbished hotel. Great central location with parking (local council) available within a 3 minute walk. Bars, shops and restaurants nearby and a short 2 minute walk to promenade. Room has a kitchenette which is very handy. The member of staff ‘Charlie’ was extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Can highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return."

"My room was small but not too tiny or too big and it had a very sweet and welcoming look to it. I loved the colour of the walls, the sense of privacy in the bathroom and I loved the bed in particular for it's perfect size and for how cozy and comfortable it was! I was also given a bottle of milk when I arrived which was handy as I didn't have to buy my own bottle when I had to shop at Pak 'n' Save which was across the road. "Magpie Cottage was beautifully furnished. Sympathetic to the era that Napier is known for. The amenities were more than ample, with every need catered for. The situation of the cottage was perfect. A street away from the beach, and close to the town centre. Highly recommend."
