Family Vacation
It was a family vacation, my husband, myself, my two adult sons and their partners, sister-in-law and brother-in-law and their 2 children (4&8). Between the 2 families, we had 3 non-negotiables- Oceanfront, pool with a gated fence( young ones safety) and pet friendly. This home met all 3.
It was a beautiful home, nice decor and a functional layout for multiple families. The kitchen was very well equipped which was great for us because we cook a lot. The knives were sharp which is something we have not found in other rentals. That may sound trivial but when you cook a lot it matters. The views were incredible. The location of this house was perfect. Not far at all from the beach and the dunes that you had to cross were not too steep for my ‘not as fit as I once was’ self. The pool was a great size nice amount of chairs & picnic table. There were 2 outdoor showers, which we loved. We just kept shower stuff and towels in there and showered after the beach. There were fridges on all 3 floors. Full size on the lower level which held drinks for beach day coolers. A small one on the middle level for easy access from the bedrooms and 2 in the kitchen.
Upon, check in there was quite a bit of sand on the tile floor and more on the stairs. The deck around the hot tub and outdoor showers was filled with sand. Yes I know it’s the beach but it could have used a good rinse with a hose. The rental co was quick to repair an a/c issue. All in all it was a great stay in a lovely home.
