The view was beautiful and it was quiet and peaceful, we only had issues with the batteries and generator which was definitely an inconvenience, other than that is was sweet and cozy.

This property was a new experience for me since it's power source is solar and power banks. The host was INCREDIBLE and made himself available during the holiday for any issues. Definitely have respect for energy as a resource after this trip, will probably book again!!

The host was very available for any questions and a great communicator. The house was as described and was a great jumping off location to spend time up in the mountains. Both white pass and chinook pass are very close. We enjoyed a quiet weekend, alone with the sounds of the river, undisturbed.

Just what we needed!

Flew in for a wedding at a nearby homestead and stayed here so we wouldn't need to pack camping gear. Nestor was great, very communicative, and made the process simple!

Georges view

A good place to get away from the noise of the city. The surrounding area is surrounded by beautiful mountains. It has a large patio in case you want to camp with your family. Nestor always responds quickly when you have questions or need help with something. I highly recommend it.

It’s like getting to stay at my parent’s property. It feels like a home. The kitchen worked well and was clean. We watched Netflix at night. The kids iPads worked. The river was close enough for the toddler to walk to. 10 out of 10. Would stay here again.

Great house! Property needs attention! So much possibility to be very quant! River trail could be made more accessible. Bag of garbage on the porch when we arrived! But overall, for the price, it is a fun little location!

Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and the house was nice. We did have to get used to the "off the grid" experience with having to rely on various battery packs throughout the house to run all the appliances. And having to run a generator way outside in the back of the property to get water. The road to the property is also a bit to be desired as it is long and very rugged.

Off grid privacy

Host Nester is gracious and was available to respond to questions quickly. The place needs a little TLC but experiencing off grid living was an adventure. It helps to have some experience in solar, batteries and generators. Good for unplugging, privacy, and enjoying nature. We saw Lewis Woodpecker, turkeys, quail and more. Our kitties loved basking in the sunlit windows but the sticky bug pads are like magnets to their fur! We were able to capture some amazing galaxies thru backyard astrophotography and enjoy a lovely fire pit. Come with an open mind and enjoy the moment.

I was not told it was off the grid until i got the itinerary and i have the worse kind of MS, and all his off grid is too small to run that size of a place efficiently. By Saturday morning i couldnt function. So we packed up and left. I couldnt risk staying there and loosing all mobility. Sorry it didnt work out.Judy Hays.

I would like to share my experience with the cabin off the grid. The host was great, however the property was not as described. Yes it’s off the grid, it’s solar powered by generator and the house outlets and switches should turn on once the main generator is turned on. HOWEVER, the main generator was out (without the host communicating this) and although he had provided smaller generators for the four lightbulbs he supplied, the rooms themselves were very dark and it was very hard to see to cook and also to use the bathroom. It was difficult to carry a generator with a lightbulb room to room in order to be able to see what to do. He did mention that he was going to work on getting the lights on for us for the rest of our stay and when I called him the next day to see if that was a possibility he said no. We then proceeded to check out and find a new place as we needed a place where we could see and put in a hairdryer and also make coffee. The next morning we found spider living in the corner, right where we had been trying to deal with one of the generators and also all of the windows had to be opened for the night we stayed because the gas fireplace needed to be on for us to have heat, and there were no carbon monoxide or smoke detectors in the house. The windows did not have an open stop on them so they could be slid open all the way from inside and outside and also there were no screens or blinds or curtains. Off grid Is OFF GRID.
