Booked 2 rooms for my family, Wasn’t able to get rooms next to each other even though requested in advance, only used on room as we small kids wasn’t able to use the other room as it was far apart.

Beautiful location, very calming, very clean after Amsterdam. Close to a few nice restaurants, easy access to many places and provides a serene base. No A/c so need to have fans running and/or door open otherwise a bit stifling. Interesting power issues, needed multiple plug types and had to unscrew light bulb from ceiling lamp as couldn’t turn off… without losing all power in room including the fans.. Staff were super nice and helpful.

The hotel was fine for what we needed, an overnight stop amongst our long journey. We arrived around 7.30pm and were asked if we’d like a restaurant reservation, we said yes as not eaten and kids needed food. The hotel staff were helpful and nice enough, but the restaurant staff we felt like a sheer inconvenience, they couldn’t have been more unhelpful and inattentive. The menu was in Dutch (absolutely fine) but we had to work out for ourselves that there was a small QR code for other languages. The other diners glared/stared at us for what felt like our whole meal, they were elderly so we probably shattered their quiet. Postive were the ev chargers on site. Another negative was the numerous mosquito bites I left the hotel with, although can’t really blame them for that. Unlikely we’d return on our journey back.
