  • Cross House Apartment is situated in the very centre of this popular, picturesque and historic village only 150 metres from the castle. Shops, friendly village pubs, lovely cafes and unique bistros are all within 20 metres but the property still provides a quiet retreat being tucked away behind the main high street. Warkworth is dominated by its fine castle and riverside walks. It's only a 10 minute walk to the sandy bay which stretches from Alnmouth to Amble in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is on the coastal route providing over 20 miles of golden sandy beaches. It is an ideal holiday base for exploring the stunning coastline nearby as well as the Cheviot hills. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are 6 miles. Boat trips to Coquet Island from Amble only 2 miles. Local golf course ½ mile. Train station 3 miles for day trips to Newcastle, Edinburgh and beyond. A local bus service runs on a regular more local journeys. This is an ideal location for exploring the Heritage coastline and beyond. The apartment is next to the owner’s property along with one further holiday studio.

    Warkworth is dominated by its fine castle and riverside walks. Only a 10 minute walk from the sandy bay which stretches from Alnmouth to Amble in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and on the coastal route providing over 20 miles of golden sandy beaches.

    Kitchen area: Newly refurbished November 2023. Oven with induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
    Bedroom area: With double bed.
    Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.

    Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Lawned garden (shared with owner and other property). Sitting-out area with garden furniture. Public car park 50 yards, free of charge. No smoking. We accept 2 medium, well behaved dogs who stay for free.

New favourite place. Ideal for the dogs due to the lovely spacious garden. Very well located for all local amenities and lovely local walks. We will be back.

Very comfortable, well equipped accommodation in a beautiful village. Even though the property is in the centre of the village, its location makes it very peaceful. This is helped by the lovely gardens.

Our hosts, Lara and Andy were very welcoming and offered lots of helpful tips on the local sights and restaurants. The upper apartment was really spacious with a lovely view of the expansive garden. The kitchen was well stocked with milk, tea, coffee, cookies and a good supply of cookware. Laundry was very accessible and easy to use (and drying rack too). What an excellent location, in the heart of the village with shops and pubs. Free parking was across the street and easy to access. Thank you for a terrific stay!

We were meeting family, so wanted a central location in Warkworth.Accommodation was in an ideal position in the village, but at the back of owners own property so was lovely and quiet, with a beautiful enclosed garden for the dog to enjoy.The Accommodation was great, very cleanLovely very helpful hosts

The most wonderful property in a gorgeous area.The hosts were very helpful & friendly.Lovely walks, to the beach, along the river & to Amble. Loved the fact we could just park the car up & didn’t have to rely on it to get to places.

Short Break in Northumberland

Lovely property, had all we needed for our break. Situated in the heart of the village with more than enough choice of eating establishments on the doorstep to cater for our needs. Very helpful hosts who were a mine of information on the local area and dog friendly, what's not to like!

10 year anniversary last minute weekend away

Lovely apartment in the heart of Warkworth. Lara was very helpful especially with the initial booking mix up. The apartment had everything we needed and was just the right size for the 2 of us. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

The apartment was very well appointed, comfortable and being able to sit out in the beautiful gardens was a real bonus. Laura was so friendly and welcoming, we hope to visit again.
