Family-Friendly Private Waterfront Getaway!

  • 3 Bedroom, One Bath Waterfront Home On Nelson Bay (Core Sound)
    This sound-front home is perfect for the family who enjoys water activities such as swimming, fishing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing or just relaxing while enjoying the spectacular waterfront view. The sound is shallow and kid-friendly and an ideal site for learning to swim and frolic in the water. For a couple, it's ideal for a peaceful, private get-away.

    Private sandy beach, shallow water dock suitable for smaller boat, excellent fishing and crabbing right off the dock. Crab pots provided no license needed in NC for a crab pot tied to your private dock.

    There is a nearby boat launch. Unspoiled beaches can be reached by a boat ride across Core Sound or by car on Cedar Island, 8 miles away. Ferry's are available in Atlantic or Cedar Island for day trips to local beaches as well as Okracoke Island (a fun day trip-take bikes).

    Outstanding cuisine can be enjoyed 30 miles away in historic Beaufort.

This is a great venue for a family to enjoy a beach-like atmosphere without the crowd. Swimming, fishing, crabbing and seashell hunting are all included. That it is pet-friendly is a real plus! Highly recommend!

This was our second time staying at this peaceful oasis and won’t be our last! The host was very prompt with communication and the house and property were clean and very inviting! Calm, peaceful place and great for young children with private beach. Close to National Seashore and in such a quiet neighborhood with a street great for bike riding and walks. Definitely our favorite vacation spot and we will be back for many years to come!

Great location perfect to have a quiet family beach vacation. Was nice to be able to let the dogs roam. Loved looking for seashells and sea glass.

Like it seems everyone that stayed, we just loved Dianna's place. We found it so hard to leave in fact, and hope to come again. Communication was great, privacy and peace. What more could you ask?

Back to nature in coastal North Carolina

Enjoyed the accommodation, the scenery, the sealife and the bird sanctuary location. Close to barrier islands, wild horses, horse riding in the Pamlico lagoon, and the charming town of Beaufort.
