  • Casa rural en Gers, Midi-Pyrénées, Francia: Peyrouat es una bonita y espaciosa casa rural del siglo XVIII que una vez formó parte de una antigua aldea agrícola que ahora se ha dividido en propiedades individuales y privadas. La cabaña ha sido recientemente renovada para incluir todas las comodidades modernas, manteniendo muchas características originales, como mampostería, vigas y chimenea. Los terrenos privados son muy extensos e incluyen muchos árboles viejos, terrenos abiertos para jugar y, por supuesto, la piscina climatizada privada de 11x 5 metros. Hay un jardín privado muy grande y encantador, una terraza para tomar el sol y otra terraza cubierta con barbacoa para cenar, todo orientado al sur y al oeste, muy soleado hasta altas horas de la noche. El paisaje ondulado de los alrededores es muy tranquilo, plantado de girasoles, enredaderas y trigo. Abundan las aldeas medievales de bastida: la más cercana, Montreal, está a 6 kilómetros.

    Comida y vino: estamos rodeados de productores de armañac y excelentes Côtes de Gascogne, también cerca de St. Mont y Madiran. Gascony es un país gastronómico: confit y magret de pato y ganso, foie gras, melones de Lecture y ciruelas pasas de Agen se encuentran en los numerosos mercados y restaurantes locales. Gran lugar para gourmets. ¡Guías completas de buenos puntos de degustación disponibles!

    Atracciones turísticas: pueblos de bastidas medievales locales como Laressingle y Fourcès con foso. Monumentos históricos como Roman Seviac o la Abbaye de Flaran. Excursiones de un día a los bosques de pinos y las playas atlánticas de surf de Les Landes; a Biarritz, la región vasca (y Lourdes) o los Pirineos. Toulouse y Burdeos también están a poca distancia.

    Actividades: en 10 minutos hay un campo de golf en Guinlet (18 hoyos). También tenis, equitación, paseos en bote por el canal y el río en el cercano Condom, y varios lagos de placer cerca. Peyrouat se encuentra en el Camino Real, / Chemin de St Jacques, la antigua ruta de peregrinación a Santiago de Compostela. Muchos peregrinos modernos todavía caminan esta ruta hoy, y es fácil caminar a Laressingle o Montreal desde la casa.

The hosts were quick to reply to all questions and the assistance of Lisa was spot on giving great advice on local gems. The pool is excellent and much used by us. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit

An incredibly beautiful cottage with huge grounds and a spectacular swimming pool. A great place to stay if you need some peace and a great garden to give kids room to run around in and let off steam.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison pleine de charme, dans un lieu d'un calme absolu. La.splendide piscine nous a permis de.traverser l'épisode de canicule sans souffrir aucunement. Merci à Edwin et Kitty de nous avoir si gentiment accueillis et permis de passer d'excellentes vacances.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour. Nous avons profité d'une magnifique propriété. Une piscine parfaite pour petits et grands . Dommage pour la chambre du bas : lit trop petit et pièce trop humide.

Peace & Quite

Very well equipped, nice and remote and private, definitely require transport. The only draw down was it was quite away from shops and restaurants but we were aware of that.

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful time at Peyrouat. We found the gite to be even prettier than the photos suggested. Situated in lovely secluded area - the children loved the huge private gardens and beautiful pool. Excellent communication with Kitty and Edwin. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

perfect stay in lovely house and area

The house was very functional and comfortable. A week of very hot weather meant the pool was fabulous. The gardens were spacious and peaceful and there was plenty to visit locally - medieval towns, a Gallo-Roman villa, wonderful markets with delicious fruit and veg. An idyllic week in a very beautiful area of France. And of course cheese and wine galore !

Wonderful relaxing family break

Peyrouat is a real gem of a place. If you’re looking for total relaxation, peace and quiet coupled with plenty to see and do within a short distance then look nowhere else. The house itself is extremely comfortable and well equipped and we spent so much time enjoying the grounds and glorious pool as the weather was scorching all week! It’s within 15-20 minutes of Montreal de Gers, Gondrin with its water park, perfect for kids, Condom, Fourcès and canoeing at Beaucaire. Valence sur Baise also worth a visit on the way back from Beaucaire. All in all a fantastic week and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Chaines de TV françaises limitées et mauvaise reception d'image. Le soir, une chasse aux punaises et aux frelons a remplacé. Toutefois l'équipement du gite est correct mais certains éléments sont à améliorer. En revanche, il faut remercier la directrise Lisa et le remplaçant du jardiner pour leur accueil et disponibilité.

Lovely property in a rural location

A lovely cottage in a rural location located about 10Km from Condom and close to a number of scenic bastide towns (Montreal, Lannepax, Fources to name a few). The cottage has a well equipped kitchen and all rooms were clean and furnished in keeping with the property. Lisa, the property manager was very helpful providing lots of useful information on restaurants, markets, and places to visit. There is a lot to do in the local area, and the quiet roads are ideal for walkers and cyclists. We stayed when France was experiencing a heat wave (temperatures mid-30C), but found the cottage to be very humid at night. A dehumidifier was provided but it was too noisy to be kept on all night. The spiral stair case to the upper floor is very narrow, so would recommend having in luggage in small bags if possible rather than large suitcases.

Fabulous Stay

We very much enjoyed our time at the cottage, the privacy, peace and quiet was exactly what we needed and we were able to rest and relax by the pool and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature in the lovely garden. Peyrouat is relatively isolated, 10 minutes to Montréal and 14 minutes to Condom, which might not work for everyone, and you will need a car, but, don't let that put you off! It is also important to be aware that the WiFi is variable and slow and the mobile phone signal can be better in the garden, but all this is clearly explained in the information. Support from Lisa, the Gite manager, was impeccable; she was there immediately when we had an emergency and, for the odd query, Edwin and Kitty, the owners, were quick to respond. If Peyrouat appeals to you, you will love it and we are pleased to highly recommend this cottage.

Très bien mais un peu surévalué

Points positifs : - jolie maison avec du charme - très grand jardin bien entretenu et ombragé - grande piscine très agréable qui peut être chauffée et qui est protégée par un système de couverture électrique - un calme permanent très appréciable - Lisa ! Une personne en or qui fera tout son possible pour vous aider quelque soit le jour ou l'heure, un énorme point positif ! Points négatifs : - la maison pourrait être mieux entretenue, un petit coup de peinture sur certains murs et un ménage plus poussé seraient bienvenus - certains équipements assez anciens - aucuns volets aux fenêtres (ça peut paraître bête de le notifier mais la lumière dès 6h du matin en été ça pique un peu) - beaucoup d'araignées (des petites) et de mille-pattes (oui il y a des insectes à la campagne, on le sait merci, mais là y en a quand même beaucoup) La location dans son ensemble est très agréable, les quelques points négatifs évoqués sont principalement des "détails" mais qui peuvent néanmoins avoir leur importance. Le jardin et la piscine sont les deux points très positifs qui viennent justifier le prix.

Bucolic Delight!

This pretty and generally well modernized cottage is set in the most idyllic of Northern Gers countryside, (there simply is no better) with absolute privacy in the most glorious of grounds. The swimming pool, with charming pump house, is in a perfect location some 30 metres from the cottage. A lovely seating area, with views of the grounds and beyond, makes an ideal spot for evening drinks in the sun. Our thanks to Lisa and the lovely pool man - We had a fabulous two weeks and were sad to leave. Warwick & Jane September 2021.

Fabulously relaxing stay

Such a wonderful place to spend our first family holiday in two years, a delightfully peaceful house and very spacious and well kept gardens. There is so much outside space for everyone to take themselves away to read, rest and thoroughly relax. The pool was a real treat in the gloriously warm weather. We spent time visiting family who live in Valence-sur-Baise so were out and about a fair bit, it is only a short drive to Condom and lovely villages dotted around. Excellent communication with Kitty and Edwin, your patience with our moving the dates was much appreciated. We honestly could not have asked for more, so much thought has gone into providing everything in the house, very well equipped kitchen, nice to have a teapot! Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to book again, thank you so much.

Erholung in der Gascogne

Ein wunderschön renoviertes und toll ausgestattetes Haus mit netten, entgegenkommenden Gastgebern. Abseits, sehr ruhig gelegen bietet es mit großem Grundstück, Spielplatz und Pool alles für einen tollen Urlaub.

Un séjour magnifique dans le calme

Nous avons passé une semaine superbe à votre propriété. Une maison typique du Gers mais rénové a l'intérieur avec tout le confort moderne, un immense terrain dans la verdure entretenu très soigneusement, un calme parfait, sauf le chant des oiseaux aucun dérangement extérieur une magnifique piscine chauffée. Nous retournons sans discussion. Mr et Mme Mitsou

Beautiful Place

This accommodation is the perfect place for people who loves privacy far away from the crowd. The house is surrounded by beautiful green nature, very calm and relaxing. The house is also very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and perfect for cooking ( a lot of wonderful markets are nearby). So we are two people we used only the downstairs area. The bed is very comfortable. We daily used the wood stove. So cosy!! To deal with Kitty and Edwin was a pleasure. Lisa was very friendly and helpful. All in all we had a wonderful week in Gascony and we highly recommend this place.

Formidable !

Le gîte est situé dans un vaste jardin, en pleine nature, la maison est jolie et équipée avec goût, la piscine est parfaite, séjour idyllique !
