Restored Barn in Chianti property - with large pool, terrace, views, wi-fi

Splendid 18th century mansion with typical Sienese architecture. It is situated next to the historical village of Basciano. The house position is ideal because one reaches the Chianti region in a few minutes or can enjoy the culture and convenience of the city of Siena (6 km away).

Restored Barn: this ground floor flat has an entrance with three large glass doors. The main living area has an open fireplace and is divided into a sitting room and a large kitchen. Dining table, wicker armchairs. Sofa bed for one person. From this room there is access to the bedroom which also has a large glass door. The bathroom has an enclosed shower and is covered with a travertine stone. In the veranda with pergola there is a dining table with bench. Barbecue available.

The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden and swimming pool (12mx6m). On the terrace of the swimming pool there is a pergola with table, chairs and deckchairs. Outdoor shower. Private parking inside the property.

In the property there are three independent holiday units (Villa, Guest House and Restored Barn ), recently renovated and fully equipped. Each unit has its own entrance and its private terrace with garden furniture. The pool is reserved exclusively for the guests of the three units.

Location: Siena is located just 10 minutes from the house (6 km), the property is located in the Sienese Chianti, in a quiet and pleasant countryside area. The location is ideal for quickly reaching Florence (55 km, 40 minutes), San Gimignano (30 km), Castellina in Chianti (10 km). The nearest village is Quercegrossa (3 km), with bars, restaurants, bank, pharmacy, post office. 5 km from the property, the Siena train station, with the largest supermarkets (Coop and Porta Siena shopping center). The Spa, horse riding, golf, bicycle rental are 15-20 minutes from the house. Beautiful walks in the surroundings.

Services included: linen and towels (for the bathroom, swimming pool and kitchen) with weekly change. Final cleaning. High speed Wi-Fi Internet. City tax.
Excluded services: heating (1.3 € / m3 gas), air conditioning (0.90 Eu / kw), payment on consumption only, with dedicated meters.

Very nice property in the surroundings of Siena

Very nice property in the neighbourhood of Siena. Location is very quiet with nice views from the terrace. Location is perfect to visit the different regions in Tuscany (Chianti, Montepulciano, Florence, Siena, e.g.). The property itself is well equipped and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the lovely terrace.

It’s a great location, but felt like we were staying at grandmas house. It needs to be updated. No real sitting area. It could be a very cute place if they updated the inside to be more comfortable.

Toller Aufenthalt in der Nähe von Siena

Das Appartement bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Ausstattung ist gut, die Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Besonders gut ist die Nähe zu Siena. Von hier aus lassen sich sehr gute alle Ausflüge planen.

Amazing Retreat in the Italian Countryside

There is nothing but positive words we can say for our week long stay in the Restored Barn at Le Murrice property. The owner, Giada, and here mother, Marie, were very welcoming to their property and helpful with suggestions for the surrounding Tuscany/Chianti regions. The restored barn is separated from the main house and is very clean and private. The apartment is spacious, bathroom updated and the kitchen is fully equipped for making meals at home. We enjoyed sitting on the porch for meals, coffee in the morning, drinks in the evening and just enjoying the peaceful views of the Italian countryside. There is a large swimming pool for guest use that was a perfect retreat in the heat of the afternoon. There is a large supermarket within 10 kilometers in Siena. This was a perfect home base that was centrally located for many of the towns and villages that we wanted to visit in the Tuscany and Chianti regions. We would definitely recommend this apartment in the restored barn and it will be on our list to return on our next visit to Italy.

Un grand merci à Giada pour la qualité de son accueil. Le logement est parfaitement conforme à l'annonce : propre et très agréable à vivre. L'emplacement est de plus stratégique pour rayonner autour des principaux atouts de la Toscane. En bref, une location à recommander !

Lovely week in a gorgeous part of Tuscany

We really enjoyed our stay at Castelnuovo Berardenga. The tastefully converted barn is perfectly located for visiting Siena, the Chianti region and further south to places like Montepulciano and Montalcino. It was a lovely place to come home to after a day out and about with a nice garden and swimming pool for relaxation and a lovely big kitchen and dining room for self-catering. Our host, Giada, was very friendly and helpful and the only negative was the difficulty we had accessing the WI-FI which meant we couldn't check the weather and places we wanted to visit as much as we would have liked. Apart from that one small point, a great place to stay!

Schöner Aufenthalt

Wir haben uns in dem "restored Barn" wohl gefühlt - für Ausflüge nach Siena, in das Chianti-Gebiet und die südliche Toskana ist die Unterkunft ein guter Startpunkt. Die Unterkunft selber ist sehr geräumig und die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet – eine neue Matratze im Schlafzimmer wäre aber wünschenswert.
