Cabin was beautiful. Definitely can use AC as the temperature was pretty high this weekend. Nice view of the lake and watching the hummingbirds.

Very nice

This was a comfortable, clean, modern cabin to stay in. We enjoyed our stay very much! The only drawback was the low water pressure and loud sounding water heater or pump or whatever it was after we used any water.

Great view!

Great view and location. Off season so dock was pulled up and not able to take advantage of. Supper club next door closed and possibly opening at a later date under new ownership. Stayed with friends so really enjoyed the indoor beautiful bar!

I’ve rented this property twice now. It’s a perfect little spot. Clean and neat. Everything works great! I will be back again next winter for sure!

Not much to do

Door locks didn’t work, all windows were left unlocked. Not much to do in area. Told by a neighbor using the firepit was banned & another neighbor would call the police.

All good. Pictures need to be updated to be more accurate.

The property was great. Everything we needed was there, and clean. The key box was a little difficult to get into but not a big deal. The reason why this was not a 5 star rating was that the cabin was not as pictured. The beds in the bedrooms were not the same(not as many as listed).. the layout in the sun room was different. The bar was different than pictured. The frig and table and chains were even different.... had we planned for as many to stay as it listed it could sleep we would have been very uncomfortable. Again... for us not a big deal, we didn't need all those beds. It was just not what we expected when we got there.. again none of that affected us.. just had to double check address felt like we were in the wrong cabin.

Nice getaway spot

This cabin was only an hour away from home. Location and neighbors were great. Had lunch at the Bar a couple doors down. Great food. Wish we would have made it for the Fish Fry on Friday. We could tell by the photos the lake might not be great for swimming. We took the drive into Portage and swam at Silver Lake. They have Kayaks available for rent. The cabin was very nice and clean.

Adequate

Adequate if you just need a place to stay or for a place to eat and sleep while spending your days on the water. Nice location right on the lake. Key was missing from the lockbox upon arival. Management was quick to provide a key but it was her copy. Window behind the bar was unlocked. Didn't feel very secure. But we saw pelicans! Yay!

It was okay

The house itself was decent overall, but there were some issues. It did not seem like this house had been cleaned in between guest stays. Floors were not vacuumed and the whole house including the linens and towels smelled of strong cigarette smoke. The description of the stay says “No Smoking”. It was difficult to stay/sleep in a house that smelled like cigarettes.

Cozy with beautiful views

We want to come back in the summer and experience this beautiful lake. The property was very nice and had everything we needed. There could have been a little more detail to cleaning, but overall it was a nice place.

Buffalo Lake cabin...

The interior is as pictured (except the couch is different and moved to south wall). We paid a premium price for this place because we wanted to use our boat on the lake and we thought this would work (from the pictures). This is not that kind of lake. It is choked out with weeds and protected lily pads. There is a narrow lane to use in the middle and people anchor and fish in that. Each cast from shore brings back a musky sized weed. Learned a lesson. If you only wish to look at the lake, this was ok. The bar next door was nice, had a real up north feel. Just leave the boat at home.

Cabin was great lake not great. But would come back. Took a short drive to Oxford and enjoyed the lakes there.
