Kids loved the golf cart, very relaxing back deck with tons of wildlife in the pond (ducks, turtles, geese, hawks, etc), great fishing, short drive to the beach. We will definitely be back

Beautiful Location

We loved the property and the location. We found everything we needed for our stay as the kitchen was well appointed. The beds were comfortable as well. The setting was quiet and comfortable. However, the townhome was well used and poorly maintained. The furnishings were soiled so we turned the sofa and chair cushions over. The main bath shower/tub faucet could not be adjusted without turning it off, making adjustments, and then turning it back on. The shower curtain was too short and it was impossible to keep the floor dry. The tub was unsightly and needs to be refinished. The golf cart was also well worn as it created a tremendous noise while driving. A few times the battery would not take a charge after being plugged in overnight. I list all this in hopes these things will be rectified for future visits. I don’t intend to make this public.

Relaxing Mini-Vacation

Our family had a wonderful mini-vacation over Veteran's Day weekend. The weather was nice and we spent every evening on the deck enjoying the sunset. Everything was clean and well organized. Easy check-in and check-out.

Great family vacation spot!

We have a wonderful time with our family. The house was very clean and in a great spot with lots to do just a golf cart ride away. The kids enjoyed feeding the turtles off the deck!

Wonderful Stay in a Quiet Gated Resort

My wife and I stayed her with our pups, and we loved it!! We will be back!! The location of the house was nice as the back deck is on the water of one of the ponds and looks out on the golf course. There is a golf cart for traveling around the resort property. The house had plenty of room for us. The resort property has multiple restaurants, shops, lakes/ponds and a bayside pier that can be fished from.

Golf cart is TERRIBLE

House it's self is great but.......the golf cart is so slow that is feels unsafe when driving around because cars and even other golf carts swerve around you for you to get out of the way. It only gets up to like 13mph when the speed limit is i think 23mph or something, so we didnt use it which was sad for my kids. The pictures show nice water surrounding the deck but what it doesn't show is on one side all the debris backs up and smells rather off-putting. The house is clean (older), and was the perfect size for a small family of 4.

Quiet and comfortable

The neighborhood is quiet with plenty of places to walk. Several things to see and do within a short golf cart ride. Including shops, restaurants, playground, pools, the beach, the marina, golfing and more. The view from the back deck overlooks a small pond and the golf course. The pond is full of turtles and our kids loved feeding them. The kitchen is small but well equipped. Most of the furniture looks updated and clean. Overall the property presented as promised. On the downside, the property is showing some age. The handrails around the deck are loose and not sturdy. Bathroom tile, cabinets, fireplace surround, and some of the flooring look original to the property and are outdated. The biggest disappointment was the golf cart. Other reviews reported how slow the golf cart is. According to the neighborhood speed signs it only goes 14 mph, which is not good when the speed limit is 23 mph. The threads of the seat cusion seams have began to pull apart. In an attempt to cover the separation of the seat cushions seat covers have been added. The seat covers are too small to fit, old, and itchy. Bottom line: This is a nice place. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. For us the golf cart is a crucial part of the experience. We used it to go just about everywhere we needed to go on the property. It may be ok for some. However, because the golf cart is lacking size, speed, turn signals, and overall comfort we would not stay here again unless the golf cart was updated.

Home away from home

My family really enjoyed the property. It felt like we were at home. Plenty of space, beds and furniture were very comfortable. We loved the deck on the water. The only thing I would improve on is the golf cart. It was nice to have, but was quite slow. We were getting passed by other golf carts 😂. That’s pretty trivial considering everything else was fantastic!

Perfect beach get away

This location was perfect for our family of 5! We had plenty of room to spread out and also plenty of room to be together. All of our kids enjoyed the turtles in the pond! The property had everything we needed to have a great trip. If there is a negative to be said, it would be that the golf cart was significantly slower than all others on the road which frustrated the drivers behind us and intern made us feel unsafe and they would follow closely.

Functional, but not fancy

We rented for a stay in San Destin. This place had the space, location, and amenities to meet our family needs. Nothing was majorly wrong with the unit, but everything just felt dated and low quality. Probably a “get what you pay for” scenario because we booked late in the game and had to take what was available for a reasonable price. Golf cart was ok. It was so slow & junky looking, we looked into renting a different one for the week. Back deck and views of the golf course were excellent. Bathrooms were very dated. We had bugs in our unit. There are so many nice places in the San Destin resort area, this section of homes were just older. With some TLC this property would be top rate, but looks like it needs some investment. Rental company was great to work with. They helped us move dates around and were very timely with responses.

Great views and Cozy feels

This rental property was the perfect location. it was a very cozy and roomy house. the views you get from the bay windows are amazing. also the patio offers you a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy the lake. the wildlife will keep you entertained. The rooms were very clean and neat and it offered a ton amenities. The golf cart is a great bonus as well. saves you gas while you enjoy the resort.

Needs some maintenance

We love Sandestin and this home was perfectly located for us to ride our bikes and explore. It’s an old home and needs some aesthetic repairs like paint peeling on walls and visibly stained carpet. We did not walk around on the carpet without shoes on as the carpet just didn’t look clean. The house smelled clean when we walked in with no pet smell at all so in our opinion they do a very good job cleaning for it being a pet friendly listing. We love that they clean all bedding and even have the blankets sealed in plastic bags for cleanliness when you arrive. If they were to replace the carpet, this home would be a cozy little getaway!.

Labor Day weekend trip

The property was perfect- lots of space for our 4 kids and dog. The turtles on the lake provided the kids a lot of entertainment! We enjoyed having a golf cart to drive to brunch at the cafe- great service and food! The location was perfect to visit friends at near by military bases and explore multiple beautiful beaches. My kids have already asked if we can book this home again when we come back to visit.

434 Linkside review

This property looked exactly as advertised. The drive from Sandestin to Destin is quite time consuming (mostly due to construction) which we didn't expect. We spent a lot of time in the car. There is a lot to do at Sandestin, but a trip anywhere off of the resort is never going to be quick. I wish we had known that ahead of time. Also, as someone who has never been on the resort, we could have greatly benefitted from a detailed map of the resort and definitely better signage around the resort. But overall we LOVED our house and accommodations!

Four Generations under One Roof

We loved the rental home especially the deck overlooking the course. We feed the turtles, we drove the cart the boardwalk and had easy access to the beach. This allow the oldest member of our family the to meet the youngest member of our family. We made wonderful memories in a comfortable living space. Enjoy the deck and the grill. Kitchen was nicely equipped! Thanks!
