Dreamy Beach Cottage has Everything YOU need to feel like you’re home! Leave your pillow at home, we have plenty! LOCATED 1.5 miles drive to Third Beach. and only 5 miles to Downtown Newport A private oasis, bordering the Norman bird sanctuary.
The cottage is professionally cleaned, and is
Fully equipped with mini splits for cooling & humidity control in the Living areas & Bedrooms.
One X-Large Bedroom has a Queen Size bed. Complete with Luxury bed linens from Portugal, and plush towels.
2nd small original bedroom has a twin size bed for Children UNDER 12 ONLY.
EVERYTHING is spotless.
Plenty of Privacy, Gas Grill , outdoor seating with a propane fire pit table. , Morning coffee on the back deck is a perfect way to start your day. The Birds from the Norman Bird Sanctuary will keep you entertained.
More seating on the front porch, sit on the bench to view the western skies for Beautiful Sunsets.
One bathroom with a stall shower. & Seasonal OUTDOOR SHOWER . Very private! Listen to the birds serenade you while you refresh.
Great outdoor barbecue area with seating on the back deck.

Great set up, comfortable bed, outdoor shower is nice. Overall perfect little cottage for a solo, couple, or couple with a kid. Great location if you don’t want to be right downtown Newport and prefer some countryside things to explore including sweet berry farm. If you are relying on uber during busier times, just be sure to plan ahead as they can take a bit. Secluded little area too in a quiet neighborhood which is nice. This was an Autumn stay.

We absolutely LOVE this property! This was my husband and I’s 2nd stay here and it was just as amazing this time as it was the first! Listening to the bird sanctuary and Tree Frogs at night on the little back deck was great and weirdly, calming. My husband’s favorite thing…..the outside shower! The Cottage had everything we needed and was comfy cozy! The upkeep and cleanliness were on point! We will we back!!!

We love this little cottage. It’s very cute, quiet and easy access to Third Beach - non- residents can park in the lots after 5pm for free or you can walk 1.5 miles along the beautiful Norman Bird Sanctuary to get there. The place is well equipped for cooking and has a great outdoor shower. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay.

Charming and cozy cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage—it was very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The location was ideal, just minutes from the beaches and the Norman Bird Sanctuary, where we enjoyed some beautiful hikes. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and offered great recommendations for local sights and activities. Highly recommend!

Relaxing stay!

My husband and I recently enjoyed a quiet beach vacation in this cozy and comfortable cottage. The cottage is well-equipped with everything one might need, including fluffy shower and beach towels, plenty of linen choices, pantry essentials (oil, spices, coffee pods) and an ample supply of dinnerware and cooking utensils. We cooked a few dinners on the outdoor BBQ and enjoyed dinner al fresco in the small backyard patio space. The outdoor shower was also really nice for post-beach cleanup, so relaxing. I also had occasion to do some laundry and those appliances were excellent. The split units for air-conditioning worked really flawlessly -- quick-working, efficient and so quiet! Communication with Lori was excellent -- she was thoughtful, considerate, generous with advice and quick to respond to queries (I inquired about one issue and she made sure my concern was addressed immediately!) Excellent host who ensures guests are comfortable at all times. Lastly, the location of the cottage outside of Newport ensured that we were never too far from the sights, restaurants, and supermarkets, but also not too far from nearby beaches. Reaching both was a matter of minutes. One thing to note with the cottage itself-- it is tucked away from the main roads so it is very quiet. As such, there wasn't too much of a view, just a tall fence. (Not a drawback, just something to note.) Overall, I recommend this space for anyone looking for a few days to relax and unwind!

Return to Newport

My wife and I came to Newport for 5 day visit and to see Newport again after a more than 20 years ago last visit. The cottage was awesome and exceeded our expectations. Immaculately clean, lots of space for two people (we didn’t use the smaller second bedroom at all), air conditioning, well stocked up in towels, bedding and a lot of spices etc so you don’t have to buy them at the grocery store. Loved the outdoor shower which was awesome. Washer dryer on premises too. We sat in the backyard at a propane powered table fire pit and reveled in the peaceful and quiet setting. You’re very near Third and Second beaches and about 10 minutes to the Cliff Walk and Newport waterfront. The cottage is in Middletown (I’m partial to its beaches as I lived in Middletown during my HS years. Lori was amazingly responsive and upon arrival we were treated to a gift basket of s’mores supplies and fresh baked raspberry pound cake. Such a great place to relax, see the beach and get away from everyday busy lives. Newport Vineyards is a very short 5 minute drive away. We will be back.

Beware read this review!

We had planned on staying for 3nights but decided not to after arrival and inspecting the cottage. The host had a nice card with a local loaf of baked bread and a tourist guide for the area welcoming us! Which was very nice but unfortunately the cottage itself had a very musty/unclean vibe to it. It is an old cottage with nice charm but my wife and I did not want to stay in a place with a odor and visible rodent traps. The bathroom is very disappointing as well. This cottage just did not match up with our quality vacation standards. Wish All the best to the host and future renters but I wanted to leave an honest review because all the other reviews rave about how clean and nice it was and that just wasn’t the case for us. The host was nice enough to refund us for 1night but we ended up still paying for the other two nights even though we didn’t stay longer than 20 minutes during initial arrival.

Reunion weekend

The cottage is even better than the pictures, and the pictures are awesome. The little touches like a full new bar of dove soap, beach chairs & the softest linens make this a place I would absolutely recommend & look forward to staying in again.

First Rhode Island visit

Very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little cottage. Being our first time in RI, its location gave us easy access to Middletown and Newport, as well as a 30-40 minute drive to the Providence area. We loved the seclusion the cottage offered. Enjoyed the back deck and outdoor shower everyday. Short drives to local beaches and the bird sanctuary.

Charming cottage

Lovely place for a week-end getaway ! We enjoyed the calm and privacy of the property. Minutes from downtown Newport, but away from the crowd. Lori was very attentive to our needs, and helped book a great restaurant. The only thing I would improve is to get a small microwave for the cottage, warming up food on the stovetop was not the best... Otherwise , great experience , would visit again !
