"I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc.
The staff were wonderful and very helpful.
The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional!
Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again."

"The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

"My shower leaked so bathroom floor was wet all the time. There was mould in the shower .no Fridge. There was litter left in one corner of the room . Breakfast was pretty underwhelming but well staffed and managed. The bed was awful , lumpy and uncomfortable. Ill not be staying here again . It was cheap and I know why. Only one small lift for wheelchair users so if youre a large party or if u have lots of luggage better stay on the ground floor.

"Very nice stay indeed. Owner very helpful on a minor housekeeping issue. Breakfast is in the coffee shop on the ground floor of the building and was really nice - speaking to locals they told me this was the best breakfast place in Bewdley, without knowing I was staying there. The only thing is that this property is on a busy main road so if road noise is an issue for you bear that in mind"

"Very friendly staff all round .The hotel needs a bit updating stairs to room ,we stayed in Apple blossom room which was spacious with a large bathroom .Mini fridge in room with fresh milk nice touch .The room was comfortable in the heatwave ,with a fan included . "Small double room, knightwick, has a toilet that leaked. The whole bathroom and bedroom stinks of mould because the floor must still be damp from the leaks. This room should not be used. The smell was so bad we had to leave the fan and light on all night. This was v noisy but preferable to the stink. Rooflights open all night. The door is a folding type so you can't even shut the smell out. Such a shame because the restaurant, pub and area are lovely and the food v good. Would pay not to stay in...

"Basically you get what you pay for. This is a cheap option in a great location for climbing the Wrekin. The hotel is quite dated, the tv in the room was tricky to operate and the room was noisy (what sounded like a tumble dryer throughout the night). But it was clean and offered value for money."
