Welcome to Dunes Cottage!
This home is ready to welcome family and friends for relaxing days near the Lake/Dunes and so much more! At Dunes Cottage you will find a relaxing cottage/Dunes theme throughout. With 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms you can comfortably sleep 8. Whether you go to the Beach, the Sand Dunes, or take the new South Shore train to Chicago, you are sure to have lots to do all within a close proximity.
The living room has a large sectional and a 55” TV. The dining room seats up to 8, plus enjoy a cozy egg chair in one of the 2 king bedrooms on the main level. Upstairs you will find 4 twin beds and a half bath. Two beds have their own little cubbies where you can be tucked away. There is a another TV and plenty of games upstairs to keep you entertained if you are staying in. Relax in the back yard which includes a fire chimney and grill.
A great location and close to everything… Beaches, hiking, boating, zoo, shopping, casino, new train station, art galleries, wineries and breweries are just some of the fun you will find nearby.
*7 minute drive to Washington Park Beach, zoo, the scenic Indiana Dunes National Park, and Bluechip Casino.
*10 minute walk to the new train station

Great place for a family get-away!

We met our daughter's family (Including 4 grandkids) for a weekend in Michigan City, including a day trip into Chicago. Neat house with a great upstairs bedroom set up for kids. And easy access to the South Shore Line to head into Chicago for the day.

Great place to stay

The house was fully furnished with everything you need to enjoy a stay away from home. Great location less than 10 minutes to anything you wanted to do. House set up and decor are great for a large group. Neighbor was quiet. Really great time. Hosts were quick to respond to messages.

1st floor was fantastic

My family stayed for 3 nights in the beginning of August. There were 4 adults and a 12yo. The house was clean and well stocked with the basics. While the home was as described, the upstairs bedroom, with 4 twin beds, was too hot to sleep in. My daughter was excited to have the whole floor to herself, but there was no A/C upstairs. Small cube fans were provided, but they did not suffice. The last 2 nights, my daughter slept on the couch. The home was fairly convenient to downtown Michigan City and the Dunes, the neighborhood was a bit run down. Overall, we had a nice stay

Great stay

Was a great place to stay at while spending time at the lakes. Had everything we needed and more. Beds were super comfy, shower was amazing, charcoal grill was perfect, and more than enough space for the entire group. Thanks for all the effort you put in to this place. You went above and beyond what I expected.

This place was close to main attractions and very well kept. There was an adequate amount of kitchen dishes for cooking and the outdoor grill was brand new.

Book fast! You wont be disappointed if you appreciate cute, cozy and wonderfulness.

All the little touches of home and more. A pure joy! Only regret of the place is that i didn't book for a longer stay. Host is a quick responder and a delight. Such a pleasure in this day and age to deal with someone that is the total package along with her rental. Thank you

Wonderful Stay!

We had a fantastic time! The pictures in the listing are accurate, but at the same time do not do this home justice. Location was perfect and just minutes from everything we wanted to do. As a family of 7, it accomodated all of our needs beautifully. The home was clean, and every inch of the space was well though out and utilized. The decor was adorable (birds and flowers are my favorite). We easily fit at the dining table and were able to comfortably cook several meals (on the awesome stove, by the way...I've now added that exact model to my wish list!). Our oldest had his own room, and our younger 4 shared the space upstairs - which was perfect for everyone to have their own space and a surprising amount of privacy. The amenities for our planned beach day were a nice addition (chairs, umbrella, smaller cooler...and a beach towel for the one kid who forgot to pack one...). On site laundry made for an easy return back home with clean clothes. We absolutely loved it and would love to return!

Beautiful space for our girls trip

The house was super clean. Most everything we needed to cook was available and in great shape. It was perfect for the 5 of us. We would definitely stay here again.
