The Barbizon has long been one of the best Hotel Alternatives in South Beach and is perfectly located between 5th and 6th Street, right on Ocean Drive.

Spacious and one of the largest Studio Floor Plans in the building.

One of the QUIETEST apartments on Ocean Drive.

Out the front door are the many restaurants, bars and people watching that makes South Beach one of the most desirable places to visit in the World. And just across the street is South Beach itself.

The Building itself is very well maintained, clean and secure. Coin operated Washer and Dryer are available on each floor; and a Receptionist is available during the day Monday through Friday.

The Studio is on the second floor at the back of the building. It is quiet and bright, with a view to the West, blue skies and a few small shops on 6th Street. And with its location toward the corner of 6th Street, it is also private, so guests can leave the Curtains open and not have to be concerned with neighbors looking in to the Unit.

The Studio includes free WiFi, Cable TV, Cd/iPod/Radio, and all the small things that make a trip from home more comfortable-Iron/Ironing Board, Hair a Full Kitchen with all the basic Appliances-Refrigerator, Oven/Stove, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Kettle, Toaster, Dishes, Cups, Utensils, etc.

There is 1 Queen Bed, 1 Sofa Bed and a Single Cot is available.

Outstanding location! The proximity to everything in South Beach was excellent. The beach was amazing and the path along it was perfect for long runs. The room was clean and spacious! We loved it all. Great host!

Location was perfect. At the Ocean Drive just a few steps to the beaches. We had an Apartment on the backside of the building. It was very quiet during the night. Within a half a mile you can find everything you need. The accommodation was clean, the room is well equipped to prepare breakfast/lunch.Very easy and quick communication with our host Lee.

Usato Vrbo per la prima volta, l’ho trovato molto valido, la descrizione dell’alloggio accurata e il pagamento senza ulteriori spese aggiunte alla fine. L’host sembrava molto disponibile anche se non ho avuto bisogno di assistenza durante il soggiorno. La stanza era pulita e anche se non ho usato la cucina mi sembrava molto ben attrezzata. La posizione dell’alloggio è bellissimo, molto vicino alla spiaggia, negozi e ristoranti e la stanza molto luminoso anche se non fronte oceano. Mi è piaciuto il fatto che c’è il climatizzatore con termostato. Molto soddisfatta del rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ottima esperienza.

OK but expected more

I expected a smooth check in which were horrible. We waited more than an hour to check in with back-and-4th texts to the renter. The building wasn’t the cleanest room is much smaller than expected windows barely open. Front door is locked at night and couldn’t get back in.

Brandon Lee war ein toller Gastgeber. Die Wohnung liegt mitten im Geschehen, ist dennoch so gelegen, dass man nachts ruhig schlafen kann. Das Gebäude ist zwar in die Jahre gekommen, aber das hat auch seinen Charme gehabt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt mal wieder. Vielen Dank noch mal an Brandon Lee.

Loved it!

It was so close to the beach! Easy to get in & out. Had extra beach gear on hand! Truly wonderful. We made life long memories staying here :) We had everything we needed except for an extra blanket, that for some reason wasn’t given to us upon request which I thought was weird hospitality. The pull out couch bed is a single person/not comfortable for 2.

Excellent stay

Alejandro was more than attentive and even allowed us to stored the luggage for some time after official checkout. Met us at the unit and made the process super easy. Very good property and centrally located right on Ocean Drive. The beach and the boardwalk across from the building. Highly recommended.

Fun Girl Trip

The property was very nice. Lee was very good to communicate with us. When we first arrived to the loud music at the bar/restaurant in front of the building we were a little nervous but we did not hear the noise in the apartment at all. The location is by far the best part about this apartment. Right across the street from the beach, close to a liquor store, grocery store, CVS and Walgreens not to mention a large variety of restaurants and night time entertainment. 2 blocks from the free trolley or bus routes. The apartment had beach chairs, beach mats, beach towels and an umbrella. Such a bonus!!! The only thing that I would say could use improvement is the access to the building was sometimes hard to get into, and the hallways are so dark that it made it hard to get into the room at night. Easier access would be great. The halls were noisy when people would come and go. Some of this may be due to the oldness of the building. With that being said, that is part of the appeal of the building and why we chose it. The sofa bed was a little hard but that seems typical of sofa beds. Overall I give this property and Lee a 5 star rating and I would stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.
