I'm searching for a charming, beautifully decorated cottage designed for two—peaceful, intimate, and nestled near hiking trails that lead into a breathtaking State or National Park. The space should be non-smoking and pet-free, offering a serene retreat. Ideally, I'd love to hear the distant sound of a train whistle drifting through the valley, adding to the ambiance. A private campfire and a grill would make the experience even better, perfect for quiet evenings under the stars. And if nature allows, I'd be delighted to see deer gracefully roaming near a nearby pond. I know this might be a tall order, but I’m confident this hidden gem exists—if you find it, please pencil me in!

Such a lovely stay- would definitely book again! Cottage was cozy and comfy! My husband and I enjoyed it so much! We were able to light a fire and sit outside, got some puppy visitors which was so nice! The grounds were beautiful. Easy drive to lots of hiking trails and close to Little River Canyon! The hosts were very friendly and checked in on us and made sure we were comfortable contacting them for anything we needed. Highly recommend!!!

Lovely rental

We had a great weekend trip to Pine Mountain. This rental fit our family well, with enough space to spread out but also lovely space to spend time together. We sat on the screened porch both mornings and drank our coffee together. The only downside of this rental was the bathrooms could have been cleaned better. Not a huge deal and I quickly cleaned both bathrooms. Otherwise, everything was perfect. We’ll definitely consider this rental again when we are back in the area.

Weekend getaway

Enjoyed a short, relaxing few days away from the busy life of work and stress of everyday activities. Mentone was only a short drive, hiking on property and the coziness of the cabin was just what was needed. Loved how you could write on the bathroom wall and leave your story. Lovely long weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how cute and spacious the cottage was. The host was excellent – very responsive and communicative, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect for us, just a short distance to De Soto Park, yet off the beaten path enough to feel like a true retreat. One of our favorite moments was sitting on the covered porch in the rain and early mornings when it was cool – such a peaceful and relaxing experience. The thoughtful touches, like the abundance of hotel amenities, really made us feel well taken care of. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a cozy, well-equipped getaway.

Great cottage

We really enjoyed staying here. We were looking to get away for a weekend and it fit exactly what we had in mind. It is near some hiking spots and we went to Chattanooga (about an hour away) and explored and did some fun things. We even had a couple super nice dogs that joined us on walks and acted as protectors. All of it was a great stay. Would come back again.

Last minute getaway

My husband and I decided to take an impromptu weekend getaway and began looking for the perfect place to stay. As we looked through the many choices in Mentone, we came across Forget Me Knot and instantly fell in love! Bobbie reached out once it was booked and was just as responsive throughout our stay.The cabin was even better than the pictures and offered the most peaceful surroundings. We loved the unique walls in the bathroom where people have signed their names and dates of when they stayed in individual hearts. What an sweet way to memorialize our time together! We highly recommend this beautiful cabin and the amazing hosts to everyone we know! We will definitely be back!

Anniversary getaway

My husband and I booked this property for a quick getaway for our 17th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect little cabin. Very clean and sits on beautiful property. It was very quiet and relaxing. Owners were very attentive and responded to messages quickly.

Cute Cottage in Beautiful Location

We enjoyed our stay in this little cottage. The shower is a little small, but the bed is large and comfy, and we had everything we needed. The only snag was we wanted to turn the AC off while watching movies or eating (too loud for movies and too cold blowing directly at the table, no matter what temp we set it on), but the power button on the unit didn’t work and we didn’t find the remote hiding behind the blinds until we were about to check out. But I think if I had reached out to Bobbie, she would have told us about the remote, and it wouldn’t have been an issue. We loved sitting on the covered porch and walking the trail on the property. Be aware that the portion of the trail that leads to the “secret waterfall” (dry at this time of year, as we expected, but still cool to see) is narrow and kind of steep. The dogs came with us on the trail, which was fun. They were around some during our stay but not bothersome. A nice, relaxing trip.
