Lovely Lake Annecy Villa

Perfect for our large group of 17 family members over 3 generations. Christine, the house manager was very helpful and the house was exactly as advertised with a great pool that was very well used by all of us. Lake Annecy and all the surrounding area is stunningly beautiful and is one of our favourite places to holiday in France

Fantastic Property

Amazing house in stunning location, would highly recommend. The house was very well furnished with plenty of seating areas for our party of 20. Lots of pool side furniture and the pool was lovely and warm with lots of toys for kids. The local agent was very helpful. The house was very clean and lots of towels provided. The location was great and the free bus service around the Lake in the summer was a real winner. Huge variety of things to do in the area.

A Savoyard vacation en famille

This house had everything we could have possibly wanted. The pool was large, great for our three grandchildren. The kitchen had an unending supply of dishes and kitchen tools. In spite of the summer heat, there was always a good breeze through the house with windows and doors open on all sides so that we never roasted. And the house was large enough and the bedrooms spread through the three stories so we were able to have privacy from each other. The village of Menthon was an easy 8 minute walk, and the Huit à Huit had a surprisingly good selection of quality grocery items; no need to bother with the Carrefour. We can’t say enough about Christine who answered every question we had and came pretty quickly when we were stumped as to how an appliance worked. We would love to come back here!

EXCELLENT

Nous avons passé 5 jours avec notre famille de 14 personnes dans ce chalet et tout était parfait. Tout ce qui était dans le descriptif était présent. Nous avons apprécié les lits faits à notre arrivée, l'accueil de Christine très chaleureux et cette grande maison où enfants et adultes pouvaient circuler avec grand plaisir ainsi que la belle végétation dans dans ce grand jardin. La grande piscine chauffée et un plus pour tous. Merci madame Mc Donald Annette.

Wonderful place for an extended family holiday

To celebrate my husband's milestone birthday, we stayed at this wonderful house for 10 days. Our family of five (two parents and three young children) was joined by six relatives (5 adults and 1 kid). Our stay was really wonderful and the house was well equipped to keep everyone comfortable. Christine, the house manager, welcomed us to the house and she responded quickly to any issues we had. Overall, our stay was fantastic and would love to return. The garden and the terrace were beautiful (the photos don't do justice!) and we spent a lot of time outside. The kids loved the pool and the trampoline as well as playing different games outside. We had dinner out on the terrace almost every night. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the patio by the kitchen every morning for coffee and breakfast. The house is a short walk from the town center which has everything we needed (grocery store, butcher shops, cheese shop, bakery, wine shop, cafes, pharmacy, etc.). I walked down to the town center every morning for fresh baguettes and croissants. Although it is completely doable, the walk to the lake was longer than I had hoped. The walk down to the lake is downhill so my young kids and mother in law who is in her 80s managed. However, the walk back to the house is uphill. So we had to pick them up by car to go back to the house. Two aspects of the house that became a bit of nuisance were the crazy amount of flies and a stray cat that kept coming into the house. Of course, one would expect to see bugs and flies, being out in the country. However, the amount of flies in the kitchen was ridiculous and we couldn't leave anything out on the counter. We found out later that the farm animals next door were the cause of the flies (it was cute though that goats would come in the morning to hang). In addition to the flies, we had an unexpected guest: a gray cat that kept coming into the house. We didn't mind it as long as it hung out outside. However, it would come inside at night and wake us up (in our bedroom upstairs or by jumping onto our bed while we're sleeping). The cat seemed to be very familiar with the house and might live there. I wish I knew about the cat beforehand because one of us is allergic.

Our stay in Menton St. Bernard fron 6. july to the 14. /2019

We was in total 19 person, 12 adult and 7 children form 2 til 5 years. The house was realy big and no problem even under the morning or during the stay. It was a lot to to do and there was also a lot things to play with during the stay. In every evening we had a table tennis match. We use the pool every day, which was very popular among all of us. We also used the barbeque every evening. The barbeque could be a bit bigger for 19 persons, but overall it as a perfect stay. Thanks to Marlene for renting out your house, and we was able to discover this nice part of France. We can recommend this house. It was fantasic. Frank Søgaard-Oslo Norway.

Fabulous week in Menthon St Bernard

Lovely house equipped with everything one could need. Situated in the tranquillity of the village but very easy to join the hustle and bustle of the shops and restaurants and the lake. Friendly welcome. Beautiful; garden and pool with amazing views of the mountains and glimpses of the lake through the trees. Superb terrace and barbecue which because of the perfect weather we used every day. Certainly hope to return.

Spacious, comfortable family friendly villa with wonderful views

Nine adults and three under 5s had a wonderful family celebration at 'Elmina' villa at Lake Annecy. The house is delightful, superbly equipped and very safe for little ones (with safety gates on all the staircases). The gardens, tree-houses and large trampoline were heaven for the children and everyone enjoyed the very good sized pool and barb-e-q area. The location of the property - 5 minutes walk to the bakery, and about 10 more to the lake itself - was ideal. We also appreciated the quick and helpful response to any queries we had both before and during our stay from the owner/manager, and came away feeling extremely satisfied by the whole experience. Lake Annecy is a delightful area, and we hope to return one day.

A brilliant house for a family holiday.

We had a brilliant week here. The house if great for a family, or good friends, as the bathrooms aren't en-suite and are shared. We were lucky with the weather and the children, in particular, spent a lot of time and had great fun in the lovely swimming pool. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed, and Christine, the local caretaker was extremely accommodating and helpful.

Excellent Property, Well Equipped, Clean, Lovely Location

The property is in a fantastic small town location, superb views, easy walk to shops. If is an ideal property for large family holiday with ample room, a good mix of bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, good outside and inside eating facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely look at booking again at some point in future. We have had 5 large (14 or more people) family holidays in France/Italy over last 12 years and this property and location is up with better of these.

Wonderful place for a family or group vacation.

Fantastic Family Reunion in Lovely Menthon St. Bernard

The Villa is lovely. The yard was huge, with lots of space for the children to run and play in the garden, jump on the trampoline, and swim in the pool. We enjoyed barbecuing dinner on the grill one evening. The views of the nearby mountains were impressive and it was fun to sit in the back porch with a glass of wine and enjoy them. The house is huge! It was the perfect location for a family reunion as there were many bedrooms and many different living spaces for people to congregate. You could enjoy your time as a group or escape to read a book. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped. Furnishings were attractive and comfortable. Fantastic vacation home. We love the location. The village was small and quaint. We enjoyed exploring it by walking. One day we even ventured up to the chateau by foot. But there were all the services you need. It was a short drive into busy Annecy.
