"Unfortunately, due to a problem in the reservations system, our reservation appeared as cancelled and the hotel was fully booked. Hotel owners did everything possible to find a similar accomodation. They were a model of kindness and professionality and gave us an accomodation more expensive and they paid the difference of price. I regret we could not stay at the hotel, but, no doubt, this wil be our choice hotel if we return to Katoomba and we will recommend it to all our friends and colleagues."

"It was great for a 4 night stay. Lovely welcome and staff were very happy to help. The bed was comfortable and as it was winter, good controllable heating. Having a fridge and microwave in the kitchenette was really helpful. The car park lights at night, and the really bright hallway lights were the only thing that was annoying, but I guess they keep them on for security. "

"The Hydro has so much rich history and the renovation is beautiful. The restaurant is great and the chef outdid themselves with a wonderful dinner. The staff were excellent and so polite. The bar is fabulous for pre and after dinner cocktails. The valley view room was a little small, nicely renovated but the bathroom needs an extra shelf for your toiletries.
