When we arrived the room that was booked was not available. We accepted the room given and was told that the next day our room will be ready.
The room given was room 112 which was 1 king bed. The room, the bed was 2 twin beds joint together to make a king bed. It was uncomfortable and created discomfort in our sleep the 1st night. Imagine trying to sleep near to your wife or husband and the bed is split in the middle. The toilet had big yellow stains in bowl.
Rain fell, so the tiles were wet and slippery.There was no caution signs to alert guests to be careful.
On the 2nd day coming back to the hotel after a fun filled day on the island, upon arrival we were told that our new room is not available and there aren’t any rooms available. We paid for a deluxe king room with balcony and a pool view. Several calls was made by the front desk clerk to what were we’re assuming to be management to resolve this issue. Finally, the room magically became available. At this point frustrated and exhausted we proceeded to make a payment. Our payment kept declining. Called our bank there was no block, hold or even insufficient funds on our account so we’re confused as to why the machine is not accepting our card.
The clerk’s tone was very condescending and rude. Turns out Sunbay does not accept discover cards.
Will never return to Sunbay. There was also no bottled waters in the room, no restaurants, no bars available to purchase food nor drinks on the compound.
