  • Hola a todos,

    Esperamos que pase sus vacaciones con nosotros en nuestra casa de Tahoe. Nuestra casa es muy relajante y está situada en una mesa soleada con vista al Valle de Carson y con vistas a las estribaciones boscosas y más allá de la Sierra Crest. Un montón de actividades de senderismo, pesca, aguas termales, esquí, casino, kayak y ciclismo están cerca.

    Para ser honesto, siempre venimos a la casa con grandes planes y terminamos pasando nuestro tiempo relajándonos en el porche trasero o en la sala de estar admirando las vistas, haciendo una gran comida en la gran cocina con nuestros amigos y yendo a la cama temprano para un genial, tranquila noche de sueño para recargar! Hay muchos detalles sobre la casa a continuación, pero si no tiene ganas de leer, no dude en enviarnos una nota y estaremos encantados de responder cualquier pregunta. Llevo más de 10 años yendo a la Sierra y estoy feliz de compartir lo que sé al respecto.

    Nuestra casa está en un gran lote de 5 acres con mucho espacio para estirarse dentro y fuera de la congestión en South Lake Tahoe. Estamos a 23 millas de Kirkwood Ski Resort, a 21 millas de Heavenly Ski Resort's Stagecoach lift, y 9-13 millas del área de Markleeville / Grover Hot Springs y 26 millas de South Lake Tahoe. Nuestra casa está a 5400 'de elevación, por lo que puede sentir un poco la elevación también, especialmente si sale a caminar por Sunrise Trail. Los viajes al este de la Sierra y al Parque Nacional de Yosemite también son posibles en largos días con la casa como base.

    SERVICIOS DE LA CASA
    Tenemos un bonito césped grande y plano en la parte delantera y trasera de la casa (a veces es verde según el temperamento de nuestro sistema de rociadores :-)). Hay un espacio agradable para descansar / jugar afuera, así como porches en la parte trasera y delantera de la casa. Esta es una zona desértica y es muy seca y ventosa. La casa también es conveniente para los padres con una habitación litera separada con TV y 3 sillas altas, 1 cuna grande, 1 mini cuna, 2 cunas, 1 columpios para bebés, cochecito doble y sencillo.

    QUE HACER / DONDE IR
    Tenga en cuenta que las tiendas de comestibles / Walmart / Ferreterías en Gardnerville (a 20-30 minutos de distancia) son bastante extensas (por ejemplo, hemos comprado fideos de plata y patas de cangrejo allí), por lo que no es necesario cargar cosas allí a menos que desee o No quiero conducir a las tiendas de comestibles. Tenemos 3 pares diferentes de esquís de fondo que cualquiera puede usar. La última tienda de comestibles considerable (Safeway) en el camino desde el área de la bahía está cerca de Martell Rd. cerca de Jackson También hay un Lowe's y KMart en Martell también. Tendrá aún más selección si conduce 30 minutos a Carson City, que tiene casi todas las tiendas que podría pedir.

    La casa está en el medio de la nada, pero eso es parte de lo que tiene de bueno. Hope Valley está a 15 minutos y es hermoso y es un excelente lugar para comenzar las caminatas de nivel. Hay aguas termales sobre Markleeville con algunas buenas caminatas cortas también. Si quieres algo más aventurero, también puedo recomendarlos y tenemos todos nuestros libros de senderismo allí (Mt. Tallac y Desolation Wilderness son 2 caminatas clásicas y duras en Lake Tahoe).

    Las vistas son bastante agradables incluso fuera de la casa y las carreteras son muy tranquilas, por lo que un paseo por Sunrise Trail es gratificante. Estamos a ~ 20 minutos del lago Caples, donde alquilan kayaks, el lago Tahoe está a unos 30 minutos y el río Carson está al otro lado de la carretera. Hay una sala de cine en la ciudad más cercana de Minden / Gardnerville a unos 25 minutos. La Sierra del Este es ridículamente hermosa y el Lago Mono, la entrada del Paso Yosemite Tioga, Mammoth, Bridgeport, Bodie, Bear Valley, el Paso Sonora son factibles como excursiones de un día desde la casa con 1-2 1/2 horas de manejo de ida. Los colores del otoño en octubre pueden ser sorprendentes con la nieve que cubre las cimas de las montañas y los álamos amarillos. Los resorts del norte de Lake Tahoe son de 1-2 horas. lejos.

    En Gardnerville, podemos recomendar Saletti's para una mejor comida y Woodett's Diner para un desayuno tradicional.

    CLIMA
    Durante el invierno puede hacer tanto frío como 0-10 grados por la noche. Nuestra casa está a ~ 5400 'de elevación. Por lo general, no nos golpean más de 3 pies de nieve como el propio Tahoe durante el invierno, pero puede despertarse con una tormenta de nieve de 1 o 2 pies durante los fines de semana de tormenta. El arado de las carreteras es intermitente, pero con suerte, una vez que salga el sol, podrá conducir los 500 pies hasta la carretera principal y estar bien. Un chico local ara los caminos cuando puede si el condado no llega a él y un vecino puede arar el camino de entrada si la nieve se pone particularmente profunda.

Annual gathering of friends

Our group of men, (70+) has a tradition of an annual gathering for 41 years. Until Covid hit we camped in the Markleeville area. We are now comfortable with a house rental. This is our second year staying at 255 Sunrise Trail and the home suits our group perfectly. We feel comfortable and at home in this house.

Gorgeous house. Awesome stay!

Where to begin! Gorgeous location. Close to South Lake as well as Carson Valley. Beautiful all around View. Good privacy. All the best amenities- the MOST comfortable mattresses on every bed! Best sleep any of of have had at a VRBO. The whirlpool bathtub is great! The kitchen has all the things! Cooking was a breeze. Large dining room table for family dinners. Pool table for fun time. Little kids toys. Several computer stations if you want a working retreat. Games, videos, books, cable TV… literally all the things! Outside BBQ, propane fire pit to sit outside cozy, great grass yard for kids to play. When my younger grandkids came over, cribs in rooms to have them nap! The owner was easy to communicate with. I look forward to staying again!! Thanks!!!

Family Reunion/Celebration

The property was ideal for our family to come together after two years of not seeing each other. It is very well maintained with large windows so the natural light streams in and beautiful scenic views. It has several open spaces both inside and outside for gatherings and has a very well-stocked kitchen for preparing meals and a large BBQ for grilling. Nights were ideal outside by the firepits. The owner, Mike was very attentive and wonderful with answering questions and accommodating our requests. Our stay was right after the fires and he was very helpful with updates on the area. Highly recommend it as a lovely retreat for family gatherings.

Family Vacation

Mike is a great host. He responded to our questions quickly. We like the location of the house since it is in the middle of nowhere and we want to get away from the city. We were able to enjoy the beautiful view from the backyard. Unfortunately, there was still fire in the area so we could not relax and barbeque in the backyard. The house is well-kept and very clean. We feel like we are in our own home. The house is fully stock with household supplies so we do not need to buy anything extra since the town is about 20 minutes drive. I definitely will be back here if we decide to have another family reunion. I like the house since there are plenty of bathrooms so we do not have to wait for our turn. The kitchen has plenty of pots, utensils, forks, knives, etc so we don't even using our own that we brought with us.

Beautiful location of Home & clean and well kept home!

This was a pleasant surprise and stay for us as a family away from all the city noises and lights. Even though it’s far from South Lake Tahoe, there are other options like Grover hot springs and hikes near by. Unfortunately most of the places around were closed due to Fires. Home is very clean spacious and well kept. The owner Mike was prompt in responding to any questions we had. Overall it’s a good experience and stay here. We will definitely come back again! Wonderful home

Gorgeous home, that is well stocked and immaculately clean. Plenty of space to relax, play games and cook. The owner is extremely responsive and took all measures to ensure every inquiry we had was addressed promptly to optimize our stay. Thank you, Mike and we hope to be back another time!

This will be the fourth time I have stayed in this home, and it never disappoints. The house and location are beautiful, and the owner is very responsive to any issues that may arise (which is a rarity). Could not ask for a better place to stay. It is my family's go-to for this area. You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful and peaceful getaway.

This is a beautiful home that is located in a spectacular spot. It is quite far from Tahoe if that is where you want to spend most of your time. But it is a destination in and of itself. The home is set in wonderfully perfect surroundings that is just what we were looking for to get away from it all. It is peaceful and laidback. This home was the cleanest rental I have been to. The place was spotless and the hosts had paid attention to the smallest detail. From a well stocked kitchen to comfortable mattresses, this home was perfect. The host was proactive and detailed in his communication and we had no trouble with the check in or check out process. We would certainly head here again.

Great property, but the “hot tub” is a jacuzzi bath tub

When our family wanted to get away for a few days for spring break, our search criteria was 4 bedrooms and a hot tub. We love Alpine County and this house seemed perfect! The location is remote enough to feel like you are away from it all, but sits between outdoor recreation in one direction and Minden/Gardnerville/Carson City amenities in the other. Our initial disappointment upon arrival when we realized the property did not have a traditional hot tub, but rather a jacuzzi bath tub in the master bedroom, soon dissipated with a few rounds of pool and a beautiful view of the Sierra. This custom built home with a well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, luxury linens, big back yard and lack of near-by neighbors made our trip better than expected. It will not disappoint (unless you are expecting a hot tub that a family of 5 can sit in together). We even woke to snow one morning, but the home remained toasty warm, thanks to automated hvac in addition to the gas fireplace in the main room and master bedroom.

The home was beautiful and had every amenity you could possibly need. The surrounding area was amazing, ranging from desert to forest, to mountains. And the property is very close to shopping in Gardnerville and Minden. Perfect vacation getaway.

Amazing safe haven during our evacuation and covid.

Beautiful remote property. We were evacuated from wildfires and found this place last minute. Because of the pandemic we wanted to be far from neighbors and people we don't know. This was perfect. The owner was incredibly helpful and the house is very well thought out. You can tell that the owner's take great care in all of the details and actually use it themselves and notice all of the little things that often go unnoticed if the owner never visits themselves. All of the bedrooms have both shades and curtains that actually keep the light out! Driving from California we wondered where we were going but once there you can easily get to stores in the other direction. It is peaceful and quiet and 3 to 6 bunnies visited the backyard every evening. There is even a purple air air quality sensor on the house which is so helpful during these times. All in all we definitely want to return and are so grateful for the way the owners went above and beyond for us.

You will NOT regret this home

How can I start? This is my first time using this app, and I honestly was a little skeptical overall. The owner of this property is on it with everything and made sure from the beginning till we left that everything went well. Location: It seems away from everything but it is not it is literally 30 min or less from Lake Tahoe. House: This house is BEYOND beautiful, pictures do NOT do justice. The king suite is HUGE and is in the other side of the house. I loved everything about this place. Outside, their back yard is HUGE and beautiful. COVID CLEAN: BEYONG! They even gave us hansantizers and masks for free! The housekeeper cleaned everything so nicely ( we got to meet her) it was beyond clean. Family: It is a VERY family home, it has two cribs! and utensils and even a grill and a fireplace in the back! PS. we WILL definitely be coming back next summer!

Perfect place to stay!

My friends and I came across this house since we were planning on visiting Lake Tahoe. This house is perfect and not to far from the lake only a 30 minute drive. The house was very clean and has more than enough room for multiple family or friends to stay at with amazing views of the mountains! The owner is very friendly and was able to answer all my questions about the area! Will definitely be back!

Lovely!

Lovely home, lovely setting, lovely stay. This home is well situated for exploring the area, as well as for rest and relaxation without going beyond the driveway. The house is well so well equipped we had everything we needed to feel right at home. With so much room to spread out, our group of 8 was very comfortable. So pleased that this property was available for our annual event.

Warm, relaxing and inviting vacation home.

This is the second time that we have rented this Mesa Vista house. It is one of our favorite places to visit! The home is perfect for multiple families or generations as it has a master suite and a junior suite along with kids rooms and tons of baby items and children’s toys. The kitchen is wonderful to cook in and is well stocked. Both times we have visited in the snow and our kids have loved exploring the property and making snowmen and snow forts. The house is cozy and inviting. The area is rural but with conveniences close by. It’s the perfect relaxing getaway! Can’t wait to come back!
