Come relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with your loved one at this unique mountain cabin. The sounds of birds in the air, wind through the trees, and fresh mountain air is sure to relax you. Whether you are inside the cabin or out you will feel in touch with nature through an expansive outdoor view through the windows. Come discover what makes this cabin so unique. This is a modern rustic mountain cabin with many unique qualities sure to please, including: a river rock shower big enough for two with two shower heads and body sprays, comfortable handcrafted king size bed, copper sinks, black walnut wood countertops throughout, many handcrafted pieces of furniture, stainless steel appliances, timber frame beam ceiling, large front porch, gas fireplace, bark siding on the exterior, live moss roof, and copper rain chains. All this is dwarfed compared to the location. Situated on 65 acres, overlooking thousands of acres of untouched mountain views, not one other house or streetlight can be seen, gaze at the star filled night sky, listen to the river rush in the distance, or the creek beside the cabin trickle down the mountain, your worldly worries are sure to melt away.
Take a walk down the 2.5 mile fly fishing trail that parallels the river adjoining the property, a blue ribbon trout fishing stream, hike the Appalachian Trail that’s within walking distance of the cabin, take a short drive and hike to several nearby waterfalls, explore Grayson Highlands State Park and Mount Rogers, the highest peak in Virginia about 30 minutes away, go paddle boating on Hungry Mother Lake only 25 minutes away, kayak or canoe the New River 30 minutes away, bike the Virginia Creeper Trail 25 minutes away, shop and eat in downtown Marion with several unique restaurants, antique shops, and distillery only 15 minutes away, catch a show at the Lincoln Theatre downtown or visit the soon to open Wayne Henderson School of art and music, shop the Saturday morning farmers market downtown, attend one of the several festivals throughout the year in the area. The cabin is centrally located to many outdoor activities and local attractions.

Great stay

We enjoyed the privacy and the property was well appointed. Some of the guidance docs were hard to follow but nothing that impacted our stay. If you’re going fishing, just walk around the gated complex of hatchery ponds to pick up the trail. It’s not obvious the first time.

Great secluded cabin

The cabin was a great place to spend our anniversary weekend. Easy access to Hungry Mother SP for hiking. Super comfy bed and the hot tub has an awesome set up under the trees. The whole cabin site was fantastic!

Glorious romantic getaway!

This cabin is a work of art with bark siding, copper sinks, and windows that offer magical views of the forest. You can tell that the cabin was built as a passion project by someone who knows what they are doing and has an artistic flare and a focus to details. The hot tub is built on a platform on the edge of the mountain. I felt like I was in the rainforest in Costa Rica. Very luxurious!

Very nice secluded cabin. We enjoyed the quiet nature filled environment. Cabin had everything we needed for a fun time to reconnect and decompress from the stresses of day to day life. Thanks for sharing your hidden gem.

Beautiful Solitude

The cabin is perfect. Quiet and a wonderful place to recharge. A short drive to Appalachian Trail access. Just sorry we didn’t stay through the eclipse.

Still the best cabin in Virginia!

The hubby and I try to stay at this cabin over the year - as it is the perfect place for solitude, quiet, and nature. Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to disconnect and relax!

Hallmark Movie perfection

We loved every minute at this cabin including the dusting of snow, star-filled sky, and solitude. The host was very responsive and check-in and check-out was simple. We will return for sure. Simply perfect for a couple's getaway.

This was hands down the best stay my husband and I have ever experienced. The home itself was exactly what we were looking for. It's such a peaceful and quiet place set back away from civilization. The house was so clean and had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The entire property was beautiful and well manicured. Book this stay, you won't regret it!

Arrive during the day, have the perfect stay!

Absolutely thrilled with the stay and experience! Very much suggest arriving during daylight, as the trek up the driveway and remoteness of the location can be a bit overwhelming in complete darkness. Once we got our barrings in the light the next morning it was impeccable. Another thing i did not see noted in comments that was absolutely not an issue but would have liked to be aware of, the horizontal view from the cabin is slightly more obstructed than the pictures show (assume this may be more a summer obstruction than winter), but it is absolutely not a detriment and the night sky is still quite breathtaking. To be honest, though, this is truly nitpicking and could not have asked for a better trip. Absolutely plan to return in the future!

Paradise in the woods

This property was everything it advertised to be. No civilization in sight. Beautiful rustic cabin with views galore. Only living things we saw were squirrels and daily visits from a family of deer. We’re already planning when we can go back! A perfect couples’ getaway.

Awesome retreat

Spent several nights at home for our anniversary. House was nestled in woods, away from it all and remote, which was just what we needed. Well maintained, clean, and quiet. Hot tub was a great touch and added to the Overall experience. We traveled to town for foods as needed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a couples vacation.

What’s not to love about this place. Perfect retreat for our anniversary. Great amenities. Perfect location for our hikes. The hot tub was a blessing after the long days. Great communication from Ryan. Could not have asked for better. We will be booking again.

Spectacular anniversary getaway

We loved every minute at this very special cabin. It was extremely clean, kitchen had everything you could need, and being secluded in comfort was exactly what we desired. A couple of notes for you...get whatever groceries you're going to want before leaving home as the cabin is probably 20-30 minutes back to a grocery store. Our Verizon phones had no cell service, but wifi at cabin was great. We will 100% be back. It's our new favorite place.

Amazing Stay

The pictures do not do this property justice. Book this place now, you won’t regret it! There is not much in this area to go and do but we just wanted 2 days away from EVERYTHING so it was perfect! Would also suggest 4 wheel drive to get to the location. We had a wonderful time and we will definitely be returning.

Tranquil setting, beautiful lodging, secluded location, we couldn't ask for anything else. Holiday weekend away for the two of us. Will certainly recommend to our friends and family and hope to be back ourselves!
