  • Located right on the water, this charming house offers the quintessential South Florida experience. For the fishing enthusiast, the highlight is the private dock—nestled on one of the few flow-through canals in Marathon. Bring your own boat and enjoy immediate access to the gulf or the sea. After a day on the water, rinse off at the outdoor shower, then roast your catch-of-the-day on the gas grill. The private patio offers a front-row view of the water—perfect for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.

    The updated kitchen has a full suite of appliances for easy cooking and cleanup. The dining area overlooks the water, so you can enjoy all your meals with a stunning view. Kick back in the beach-themed living room, then retire to the main bedroom, which has a TV, an en-suite bathroom with a standalone shower, and direct access to the back patio. Across the house are the remaining bedrooms, two of which are nearly identical. The fourth bedroom serves as a home office and has a futon, a desk, and a three-in-one printer for all your work-from-home needs. The guest bathroom has a standalone shower.

    This family-friendly home base makes it easy to explore a range of outdoor attractions unique to South Florida.

The house seemed a bit bigger in the ad, but it was very nice. We enjoyed being on the canal and it was walking distance to simple shopping, ice cream and coffee.

Great Get Away

This is a hidden gem, we had two families come together for New Years week and create someGreat memories. This house has several great restaurants within walking distance. Fish Tales at the top of the street is excellent seafood. Highly recommended. Will definitely book again in the future.

Location and a wonderful coastal atmosphere!

It was hard to leave this beautiful and graciously styled home. The central location in Marathon made day trips easy...any direction by car, bicycle or walking was full of fun, food & interest. Although the listing says it sleeps 10, I think our group was happy to keep to 7. Clean, airy & bright with room for meals together and relaxing. Highly recommend these wonderful hosts and their caretakers!

Nice and quiet area great location !

We stay 7 nights house has pretty much all you need but you have to stock paper towel amd tissues if you plan to stay longer than couple days also condimens if you gonna cook . Overall we love spaces with 4 bed and extra sofa bed . We catch a lot of snappers from the deck . We will defintely come back !

This was oversll a nice property. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking our own meals, probably the best pots/pans and utensils of anyplace we have rented in the past. The bedrooms were spaciuos and comfortable. There were plenty of games available to play, we just didnt use them as we brought some card games of our own. There was plenty of space outside to fish the canal even though the owners boat was there, it wasn't in the way. The street is narrow and I think it would be very difficult if you came in there with a vehicle and a small trailer, unless you could move the trsiler around by hand. The home is centrally located in the keys for traveling north or south for different activities and there are plenty of fishing options very close.It would be nice if it was set up so that you could lock and unlock the door on the street side of the house from the outside instead of having to walk around the home all of the time. There is an air conditioner mounted pretty low and I whacked my head on the mounting bracket pretty hard on our first day there. The yellow tape on the bracket used as a marker just kind of blends in with everything else. All in all, this was a decent home and it met the needs for the 4 of us.

Great locations, super clean

I loved how clean the property was, the management company wasn’t too communicative (taking over 2 weeks to respond!) but we really enjoyed our stay…the kitchen could use some other things other then the very, very basic essentials, but no biggie!

Good for a family Vacation

Very spacious and great location. The neighbor to the right is not friendly and acts like you being there is a problem, but ultimately they have nothing to do with us and just kind of watch from their yard. Whatever you do, do not park in their area. The only suggestion I would give is to have a visible tape or something showing the different elevations on the back patio area. We had a couple little accidents falling or tripping. Overall great property and very easy to access and enjoy.

Good boat house

Perfect for a angler looking to both access to the gulf and Atlantic as the canal leads to both , rented boat for a few days and it worked out well , there is a tackle shop and gas dock right up the river , beware of the coral reef outside of the dock it could def be a hazard for boaters with little experience and would result in costly repairs, the location of the house is nice but the neighborhood is small if you wanted to go for a walk about and surrounded by highway , however there is a nice coffee shop 2 min walk , the house is nice and roomy and the lay out works well for a family with kids as the master is on one end and the other bedrooms are on the other , there was comment in the add about a underwater light to attract fish but we found this untrue , over all very nice place
