Outstanding Vacation Home

This is the second year we have rented this house. Everything about the house is perfect. The pool, canal, kayaks, tiki hut, the closeness of the beach- and the communication are all exceptional. We are looking forward to next year! And the neighborhood is very quiet and private.

Perfect in every way!

Our family had the best time during our stay at this home! We stay in Marathon every year with our dogs, and this has been the best house yet. The kids loved the pool and the outdoor area is really nice for families and hanging out. The boat dock is a little tricky, the tide does vary greatly, meaning it comes up quite a bit during high tide so secure the boat properly so it does not come up under the dock during high tide. Also the canal is very shallow during low tide, just an FYI. The boat ramp is close by which is also nice. You feel at your own oasis here, there are plenty of greenery and the road isn't busy. Publix is on the same road, huge plus with a family! The kitchen has so many utensils and just so many little details that make your stay so much more enjoyable. Chelsea was very responsive and helpful! This place is a true gem. It is hard to find places like this that check many boxes in the keys!

Beauty property

The property, especially the backyard was stunning and made for a dreamy vacation. The heated pool was perfect during a chilly few weeks. Canal front backyard was easy access with our boat during our stay. The front driveway area is very spacious and more than enough room for a boat trailer and multiple vehicles. The neighborhood is one of the best selling points, it’s beautiful, people are friendly, and you can take an easy walk to the beach or playground. The house itself is spacious, however, it is in need of a deep clean. A couple minor issues came up that were fixed in a relatively timely manner. We had a great stay and we would come there again.

Don’t hesitate to book!

We spent 10 days down in the keys with our family and another family. The location of the house was excellent very close to the ocean as well as sombrero beach. The house was well stocked with kitchen, utensils, and dishware. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the pool as well as under the tiki hut. The kids really enjoyed the beach entry type pool as well as the little shelf in the pool great for little kids. We also enjoyed the floating dock for easily access for the kayaks and paddle boards as well as the side entrance into the water. We were able to keep our boats down there and loved all the lighting for the pool and the dock or nighttime fishing. We will definitely be back again and hopefully rebooked with the same house. The property manager, Chelsea was very responsive and prompt to any questions and concerns that we may have had during the trip and took care of them very quickly.

After getting to the property at the check in time (3pm) we received no check in details. We walked around the house and found the back doors unlocked. We had several kids in the house ranging from 15 months - 12 years old and there was piles of dog crap in the rocks out back of the pool. The canal is very shallow and brown. The neighbor said it’s been that away for a few years so the listing photos of the canal are old and misleading. The water supply at the dock does not work nor did the power plugs. We dragged a hose from the house across the pool deck to spray off fishing and diving stuff and the hose leaks more than what comes out the end. There were several plates, bowls and silverware that had food left over on them that appeared to not even be rinsed or cleaned in anyway. For the price of this house I would look at others in the area. The best thing about this house for us was the A/C worked flawlessly and the pool and tiki hut were nice. The small ice machine was very convenient and worked well. The provided kayaks and paddle boards were useless there was so much grass in the canal.( attached is a photo where you can see the canal in the back ground and one of the dinner plates. We did not take photos of the poo)

Perfect Spot in Paradise!

We had two families of four stay at Tingler and it was the perfect spot. The pool was the perfect start and end to our days, thanks to the heated water (the perfect temp for winter nights)! We really enjoyed taking the provided kayaks out into the open water and paddling around Sombrero Beach. (It was also an easy walk to the beach from the house.) Marathon was the perfect midpoint for our visits to Key West and Islamorada to see all of the sites of the keys. The house had plenty of room to cook and socialize. I do wish it had a third bathroom but we made do! Also, the King room was not two kings, it was one king and one queen. So in total, the house had 6 queens and 1 king which was more than enough for the 8 of us! The laundry, outdoor ice maker, fridge and bait freezer were also wonderful amenities. We took a charter (marathon lady) to fish and brought our catch home to grill outside on the beautiful outdoor patio. Our host, Chelsey, was super responsive and very accommodating. We can not wait to come back to the keys and will definitely rebook this property if available. The kids were already asking when we could come back before we even pulled out of the driveway! Thank you for the incredible stay.
