  • Si usted es NUTS sobre vacaciones en la playa, te encantará el "Beach Nuts" casa de vacaciones. Situado a pocos pasos de la playa Sombrero que realmente son sólo "pasos de la playa". Esta casa es tropical, loco y peculiar .. Realmente es una locura, ¿cómo chocan retro y tropical dentro de esta casa privada única playa de la familia. Este compuesto loca tiene tres dormitorios, todos provistos de camas de tamaño king; el dormitorio principal también tiene un futón tamaño de la reina. Las otras dos habitaciones king tienen cada uno su propio medio baño y comparten una ducha a ras de suelo. Las puertas de la ducha helado proporcionan privacidad total para cualquier persona que utilice cualquiera de los dos baños y medio. La ducha compartida también se abre a la piscina al aire libre son para después del sol fácil limpieza. Esta propiedad es realmente un compuesto. Hay muchas áreas privadas al aire libre para ponerse al sol o sentarse y relajarse en la sombra. La piscina está por encima del suelo y está rodeado de jardines tropicales que crea una sensación de isla privada. Hay una mesa de comedor junto a la piscina que es perfecto para una buena cena al aire libre. No olvidemos sobre el muelle de 40 pies, walk-in alcoba marea y la estación de limpieza de pescado. No olvide sus zapatos de agua: la superficie es resbaladiza y afilada .. así que tenga cuidado. Puede ser el buceo y snorkel en el famoso arrecife de sombrero en cuestión de minutos! Esta casa se encuentra a sólo un paseo en bote de distancia de uno de los más famosos lugares de buceo en los Cayos - arrecife de sombrero. Aquí encontrará aguas cristalinas llenas de peces tropicales y corales impresionantes donde se puede bucear o hacer snorkel. La cabeza por poco más allá del arrecife para tomar su cena donde las aguas están llenas de pargo y mero. Al final del día usted tiene una cocina totalmente equipada con todas sus necesidades de cocción, 2 zonas de comedor y un porche fabulosa proyectado justo al lado de la cocina para cocinar sus capturas y disfrutar de su familia y amigos. La casa cuenta con internet inalámbrico, cable, parrilla de gas y se proporcionan todas las sábanas. Este es el refugio perfecto para aquellos que gustan de pescar. La casa está ubicada en el lado del océano y la pesca en el muelle también es excelente.

It was perfect. Every need was met and the property clean. We ate out but cooked in a bunch too with three babies 2 and under. Enjoyed the pool, fishing in the back, lounging around and many other great amenities. Simple check in and simple check out. Beach was so easy to get to… a short flat walk. Very nice!

Beautiful home with lots of room! Great outdoor area and perfect location for a quick beach day. Bathroom are a little weird, but other than that, would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent place to stay.

We loved the open concept and spacious rooms. Everything was as described and we felt very much at home while we enjoyed the Keys. Strongly recommend.

Great stay

The location was amazing. Loved hanging out with our iguana friends every day. My kids had a great time fishing off the dock. Saw huge lobsters.

Perfect place for our family

Great house with everything we needed. The dock was super protected but easy access the ocean. The kids loved fishing, the manatees and the gecko's. The house was super clean and had plenty of space.

Amazing time

We had an amazing time at Sandy’s property. We spent out mornings on the dock fishing and nature watching. We saw manatees, lizards, crabs, lobsters, eels, all kinds of stuff. Spent a good amount of time in the pool and the beach, which were both warm since the weather is so hot. Sombrero beach near by was amazing. The house is big and very open and in a great location. Would definitely stay here again.

two weeks of fishing

Property would hold a big group with lots of space. Located on a hard to find Sombrero beach walk. Biking was great to the beach. Be prepared for a funky bathroom setup which is off set by the dock and manatee watching. Reminder the pool is great but not heated.

Great location, as advertised

Had a fabulous time. Pros: great location, 3’ pool perfect for our kids, very clean, lots of indoor and outdoor space, screened porch was perfect for enjoying breeze, saw many animals (iguanas, lobsters, fish, jellyfish, etc), good communication from property managers. Negatives: house shows it’s age (eg, superficial cracks in walls), bathrooms are unique. To be clear, not an issue for us- in fact, bathroom layout worked great with young kids! All in all, fabulous rental and we’d stay again. Thank you!!

We're "nutty" about this house!

Our stay was amazing! The home is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. Although we didn't sleep much, the bedrooms were great. The bathrooms were a little different but for our family, they worked perfectly. You can access the jack and jill from the pool if needed which is super convenient. The pool was awesome and with the shade top and made it so much nicer to hang out all day. The boat dock was a huge asset! We literally went out everyday and could board right from there. Even launched our kayaks without any issue. Sitting on the dock in the morning watching the fish swim all up and down the canal was relaxing too! The home comes with everything you need from extra beach towels, to floats in the pool and even a separate location for the laundry room so don't have to hear the dryer all night. We hung out on the screened in back porch at night and it was super quiet. The best part were the iguanas which were quite lively and always sun bathing.They are truly more afraid of you than you are of them lol. The house is super convenient to everything and a short walk to the beach which is great when you want to see the sun set and rise! Thoroughly enjoyed every part and cannot wait to come back!

Good Location and Home

Overall the home is very nice, the location is great and the dock for the boat was very nice. We loved the floorplan!There are a few things that should be better attended too.1) The pool turned GREEN after 3 days and no one came out. I own a pool and noticed the pump was not running. Not a healthy situation2) When we walked in the floors were still damp from clean, so I thought "nice and clean", but the bedroom floor by the laundry room was not clean, my wife sweep it and got a LOT of dirt up.3) The corner cabinet in the kitchen is broken and when we opened it, it feel and almost smashed my toe! Very dangerous.4) Kitchen was stocked "OK" but I have stayed in a number of VRBOs over the years and this one was probably the less supplied. There were no flat baking sheets, and limited teaspoons, etc.5) The bathroom by laundry is VERY tiny. Could not sit on toilet straight due to wall.On the positive side1) AC worked GREAT!2) We had 6 adults and had plenty of room3) we loved the layout4) The grill was clean and worked (unlike others I have stayed at)5) there were two coffee makers6) Again, the dock and location was greatOverall, we had a good experience and would recommend it for a group of 6-8 people.

Great Getaway

Property is quirky as other reviews have stated and needs some work but I knew that gonig in so I will not knock that in this review. Beds were comfortable/firm. Washer and driyer is available and it the side shed which is pretty normal for the keys. There were some older fishing poles we used that served their purpose. Otherwise if you want to fish you can buy a pole. Their are minimal supplies provided, so you will need to pick up some things at the store. Great location, great outdoor area with newer grill and LP tanks provided. Plenty of room for the four of us (wife, myself and two adult children). Plenty of towels and their are also some beach towels available. Nice beach a block away, MUST take part in the sunset at the beach!! Close to any and all stores (driving). I rented a boat and was able to dock it at the house for a few days, which was a nice benefit. If you have some experience in boating but have never done it in the ICWW I would recommend renting. I used Vacation Boat Rentals ask for Cathy, they were great to deal with. She is about 10 minutes up from the house and a 25 minute boat ride away.

Book somewhere else

Had good expectations for this property considering we paid a lot for a week. This property lacks a lot. Things are not being kept up with, we noticed a lot of broken doors, knobs, hoses, electrical wires exposed, etc. electrical cords exposed in the socket and was a huge danger to our toddler who kept trying to touch it (this should be fixed immediately). Pros:It was close to everything including the beachBeds and Towels clean Open floor plan Manatee in canal out backCons: Old refrigerator that struggled to stay coolPrevious guests used fridge/freezer for bait. Someone had left bait in the house fridge and freezer and the stench was terrible our entire stay. Dirty towels left in the dryer by cleaners.Smallest bathroom toilet -you can’t even sit down without hitting your knees on the wall. We found the bait station out on the dock full of cut up old bait (squid) and we had to clean it up, but the hoses out there were all broken. Cleaning was not done - fridge had food on top of it with lots of dust, hair in dishes, there was tons of dust and hair under furniture like they haven’t been cleaned. Fridge wasn’t clean and smelt like bait. The pool hasn’t been maintained and has floating debris/particles.Kids shorts found outside in the couch and were soiled. Paid a cleaning fee for a dirty house and had to clean it as a paying guest on vacation. Would not recommend staying here unless you don’t mind it being dirty.

We had an excellent stay. Check in was easy and the rental company was quick to help with minor issues that came up. Would stay again.

Rental is exactly as advertised!

Great neighborhood and location! Easy access to the Beach, the Gulf and the Ocean! All the conveniences (grocery, restaurants, etc) are near by. As other reviewers stated the bathrooms are odd but useable! No problem for the 6 of us that stayed! Great AC!!!!! We will return!

We will be back

There were a few minor issues but nothing to keep us from coming back. We brought our boat and the location was perfect to get to the open water on the ocean side. The grocery stores were very convenient. The kids loved the pool & we enjoyed relaxing each evening by the water. The yard was completely fenced in so the kids and our dogs were safe from the main rd. Short walk to the beach in the evening to see the sun set. Over all great & safe feeling neighborhood. We will be back!!!

Very nice property

Spacious and clean, ideal lot for privacy, fenced back yard on canal, ample parking, AC worked great, nice sitting areas. Big screened porch. Close to beach and groceries, restaurants. Property managers were very responsive with any issues that arose.

Fantastic!

The location is perfect. Great quiet neighborhood to walk the dog and 3 doors down from Sombrero Beach. Very close to grocery/liquor stores. The house is very clean and spacious. The bathrooms are a little strange as other reviews state but we knew that going in so we were fine. The screened porch is huge, it rained a few times so this was a great feature. You can fish from the dock or put a boat there. We saw a variety of fish like mangrove snapper, barracuda, a shark and had manatees visit us twice. Kayaking from the house is fantastic! You can kayak the canals, Boot Key or the ocean. We loved the house and the location, can’t wait to go back!

Great location. House could use some TLC

Location could not get any better! We were able to walk to Sombrero beach in 3 minutes! It was an older home in need of some TLC though. There was plenty of room for my family to spread out. But some light fixtures did not work. And there were lots of bugs, particularly in the Jack and Jill bathroom.
