This beautiful 5 acre property nestled in the Maplecrest valley is in close proximity to both Ski Windham and Hunter Mountain and offers the perfect family getaway with plenty of room to relax. A back porch with a BBQ and a beautiful view of High Peak Mountain is surrounded by DEC protected land. From this property there is easy access to many local hiking trails, the Batavia Kill and a family friendly park and lake within walking distance.

The main floor boasts a large fully equipped beautiful country kitchen with a copper sink, granite countertops, a petite chandelier hovering over a spacious work island. A cozy breakfast nook seats 4-6 on St. Remy chairs with access to both the kitchen and the dining room. A soapstone woodstove provides warmth and charm. An impeccably designed formal dining room (seats 8-10) is the perfect place to entertain in elegant comfort. The inviting French floor plan continues into a warm and cozy living room complete with a 44" flatscreen TV, VCR and DVD player. There is one spacious bedroom (Queen bed) on the main floor that leads in to a large bathroom with a deluxe shower and washer/dryer.

A historic wide plank staircase leads to the second floor with 5 bedrooms: 1 king, 1 en suite Queen, 1 Queen and 2 single (one with a trundle) and a small, sweet extra room For reading or yoga . The additional upstairs bathroom provides a comfortable shower in classic French country style.

All cotton sheets, down blankets and natural products used throughout the house soothe the soul and calm the senses!
A blissful French experience if there ever was one!

Internet is available and cell phone service is accessible and a landline is provided as well.

2 large bags of waste may be left at the end of your visit. After that travelers are responsible for waste removal to a local management station. Garbage is not allowed to be left outside since it attracts wildlife. a fee of $10 per bag (after the 2-bag limit) will be applied if the traveler chooses to leave waste behind.


During the high peak seasonal dates the rate is $750 however low peak seasonal rates are $695 nightly.

Family Ski Trip

We stayed here for a family ski weekend. Plenty of space for our family of 9 adults and 1 baby. Everyone had their own bedrooms. The 3 bathrooms meant no waiting... House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. We skied both Windham and Hunter mountains and the house was convenient to both. Plenty of dining/kitchen seating which was great since we ate in all 3 nights we were there. Host Jeanne was very helpful with dining reccomendations. Check-in/out was easy.

Great home for a family gathering; the host was warm and accommodating; no glitz or glamour, but lots of coziness and comfort; comfy beds, more than ample eating areas; large beautiful grounds to explore, the iced waterfall in the stream was particularly enchanting; lots of things to do nearby; great park with sledding hills, a frozen lake, trails and playground 1/2 mile down the road; 2 cozy fireplaces - a very peaceful environment - perfect place to reconnect with friends and family!!

Enjoyed our stay

We were three families with children staying while skiing at nearby Windham. The house had ample space for everyone, is very well maintained and spotless. As other reviews suggest, WiFi / cellular are almost non existent but we didn’t mind and there was TV with Roku when needed. All in all a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Lee Family Summer 2021 Vacation

The home is in great condition, and was perfect for a group our size - 7 adults and 4 kids. The outdoor property is exquisite - gardens just beautiful, yard is in top shape and very deep, perfect for play, games, golf practice. The natural environment is breathtaking.

Host was responsive. Property description accurate. As advertised cellular connection very limited on property and no wifi (you can get a signal if lean your phone up against a certain window). Would stay again. House has a nice comfy feel. Thank you!

Highly Recommend!

We stayed there with family and friends for new years and it was such a pleasure! The home was very clean, the beds were super comfy, and the location was perfect for skiing and tubing for either hunter or Windham! The property is huge! And absolutely beautiful and Jeannie the host was incredibly accommodating and very responsive to all my questions! Would def recommend this home anyone looking for a very relaxing and scenic getaway!

What a warm, wonderful, healing, charming home! Impeccable furniture, beautiful art, such a fun layout and hosts that are clearly special humans! We all had a chance to exhale. Amazing property!

Rented the place for a family reunion. Jeanne was super nice and responded promptly to all inquires about the property. The house was well stocked and amenities were great. Although the house did not have cell service or wifi, the nearby park had a wifi area that was great. Would highly recommend!

Very relaxing

We rented the property for an extended weekend trip for 3 families, which fit comfortably in the spacious rooms and living areas of this nice house. Enjoyed the beautiful big back yard and outdoor space with a fire pit and the river/stream in the back. In the area, we went fishing and hiking. We cooked big family meals and played games in the yard. The host was very caring and responsive, she made sure we had everything we needed and provided a lot of useful information. Thank you for having us.

Wedding weekend

A close friend was getting married at a venue nearby and my wife and I decided to rent a house with 4 other couples instead of using a hotel as we felt this would be a more enjoyable experience. Jeanne's house was perfect for us. There was plenty of room and the property was beautiful. There was plenty of space to get ready even for 5 couples preparing for a wedding. Relaxing family reunion at beautiful home

We had six adults, two kids, and three babies spend a weekend here and had a wonderful time! We had plenty of space for everyone and all three babies slept in separate rooms :) The back yard is enormous and was great for the bigger kids to run around in and play sports. Jeanne was responsive and very easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect for a ski weekend

We had a lovely weekend at Jeanne’s house in Maplecrest. We were 6 couples heading up to hunter mountain and Jeanne’s house was a perfect place to unwind after a long days skiing. There was plenty of room for us all with 6/7 bedrooms and a large dining room kitchen area for us to eat. Jeanne was very welcoming and responsive - even organizing a snow plow to dig us out on the Sunday. Before the trip we were worried about the cell service but we all agreed it made for a better weekend, and a break from social media. Overall we had a great stay and hope to be back next year.

Wonderful stay for a group of families!

We were a group of 4 families in total and absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home for New Year's weekend. The owner was very accommodating and the home had plenty of room for our big group. The kids loved exploring the beautiful property outdoors. It was only a 10-12 minute drive to Windham Mountain where the kids enjoyed skiing and snow tubing. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely home your next family vacation!

Great location if you want a quiet getaway

We had a group of 11 for a birthday party and also for the Country Music Festival. Plenty of rooms and beds for everyone in our party. House was clean and organized. Pics are an actual depiction of the location. Owners did a great job of making you feel at home. Plenty of land to enjoy without disturbing the neighbors. The dog next door was a total sweetheart and an added bonus for the dog lovers in our group. Close proximity to Hunter Mountain, about a 10 minute drive. Had only a couple hiccups that the owner resolved or was aware of during our stay. Overall would stay there again for sure and would recommend in the future. Only potential downside is cell service is lacking and there is no wi-fi. But if you're able to disconnect for a few days then you will love it. Also, town isn't far away and there is service there.

Spacious and clean vacation house

We had 3 families, 14 people in total, staying in the house for the ski trip. The house is very spacious and clean. Our kids also had a lot of fun playing on the backyard. The house location is great, and we went skiing in both Hunter and Windham. Jeanie is great, and she is very responsive and helpful during our stay. One kid forgot to bring his mitten after playing on the backyard, and Jeanie is kind enough to help find it and fexdex back to us. It would be even better if there is cell phone signal or eaiser wifi access in the house.

Super happy

We had a wonderful stay at Jeanne Licurse house! The house was spacious, cozy, and equipped with everything you could need from cooking materials to toiletries! Kitchen was amazing, so even 6 people can simultaneously cook at the same time. There is a beautiful mountain view which you can enjoy from almost each window. All bedrooms are amazing, beautiful and comfortable. Atmosphere in the house was so nice, so we never wanted to leave. Jeanne was extremely helpful & polite. We absolutely fell in love in this property & hope to be back soon! 10/10 would recommend! :)

Beautiful location and great group space

We rented the house from Jeanne for a brief ski trip stay, with two other families. There was plenty of room to sleep all of us and lots of big space to cook, eat, and play games with friends and family. Jeanne provided great advice on where to rent skis and the best places to grab a bite to eat. Great location between Hunter and Windham, plus lots of outdoor space for kids to play in the snow!
