Base Camp MHK is the perfect space for families to unwind, walk to sporting events and take in all that Manhattan has to offer! Enjoy all of the modern amenities in this freshly renovated home featuring a fully stocked kitchen with a large table perfect for entertaining large groups.

Location:
- 5 minute walk to the Stadium
- 5 minute walk to Via Christi Hospital
- 5 minute drive to KSU Campus & Aggieville

Come enjoy our newly renovated 1960's brick bungalow that is perfect for large families, groups of families or business travelers. The modern aesthetic will have you unwinding in style, providing you a stress free space while you visit the Little Apple!

+ Sleep
The home features three bedrooms, all with queen beds, as well as a large bonus room with two day beds and trundles. The master bedroom is complete with a full master bath with a luxury walk in shower. The hallway bathroom serves the other three sleeping spaces and has a bathtub/shower.

+ Entertain
Our home is perfect for large groups who want to have communal dinners or and plenty of space for the kids to spread out. The kitchen table is a great space to spread out while cooking and comfortably seats up to 10 guests. We have a 58" TV perfect for everything from game day to movie night. The smart TV is linked to our Netflix and Hulu accounts and provides a plethora of additional apps guests may sign into as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cups, plates, cookware and bakeware that you would need to cook meals in. We also provide coffee, tea and hot chocolate to warm you up anytime of the day.

+ Logistics
The home is situated on a large corner lot. There is room for 3-4 cars in the driveway and ample street parking on either street. Our home is equipped with a keypad door lock and your code will be sent to you the day prior to check in.

We are available by the Airbnb messaging app and able to respond quickly should you need anything at all throughout your stay.

Our house is perfect for those traveling for K-State Athletics. We are a block and a half West of Bill Snyder Family Stadium, Bramlage Coliseum, the baseball field, soccer fields and more!

We are also a block and a half away from Via Christy Hospital for anyone needing a quiet, close place to stay while visiting loved ones.

There is a $500 deposit for the home. It is not charged to you upon booking, only reserved in the case of damage or theft. If something gets damaged or broken, please let us know and we will figure out a solution.

While we admire and appreciate fury friends, we do not allow them in our home. If this is an issue, we are happy to provide information on pet boarding as an alternative during your stay.

Please note that if you cancel a booked reservation, and it is within the timeframe for a full refund, you will receive the refund minus the credit card processing fee of 2.9%.

The space worked very well for our family while we were in town for a wedding. It was great to be able to eat as a family at one table. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen were clean. The host did communicate with us before our arrival that the dishwasher was not working so we grabbed some paper items to make our stay easier. We had a few minor instances we needed to contact the host, and they were very quick to reply and help us with our needs. Would stay again.

We had high expectations for our stay. We have stayed at other properties by the same owner and they were fabulous. This one was disappointing. Master bedroom amd bathroom doors didn't shut, no window coverings on several windows and a musty smell throughout the house. I would recommend their other properties, but not this one.

The master bed was super comfortable! Overall the place was well stocked and easy to eat our meals and hang out. Tons of places to sit and visit in the family room. Quiet neighborhood and very safe.

Interesting and Subpar Stay

Mixed experience due to confusion around booking and communication.Two days before my stay, I asked if I could extend my reservation by an additional night. The host, Jordan, confirmed it was available and said I’d receive a confirmation. I didn’t, but assumed the extension would be applied later, as has happened with previous bookings.After the first night, I contacted the host with several concerns about the property. To their credit, Jordan responded quickly and addressed the issues, which I appreciated.However, on what I believed was the second-to-last day of my stay, I messaged to cancel the extra night due to a change in my work schedule. In response, I received checkout instructions, followed by a message saying it was too late to cancel as the property would now sit vacant. That caught me off guard, so I reread the checkout details and realized they all referred to the next day—suggesting the extension had not gone through after all.I asked the host to clarify my actual checkout date and was told it was the next day (not the extended date). Jordan then sent screenshots of the original booking calendar, unprompted, which felt unnecessary and a bit defensive.The stay itself had ups and downs, but the confusion around communication and booking made the experience more stressful than it needed to be.

Family Wedding

This property worked out extremely well for our group of 7 to stay for a family wedding! Location was great, quick drive to anywhere we needed to go! Plenty of sleeping options, comfortable beds, and a great open space for relaxing/eating!

Remodeled gem

This house served everything we needed for a wonderful mom’s weekend with our college girls. Lots of extras in the kitchen made it easy to pull meals together. We used the grill outside which was a bonus. Back yard needs a good spring clean and would recommend hanging lights out there. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Great place and location, needs a little TLC

It was a great space and worked great for what we needed it for. We did find the kitchen sink had low water pressure unless you held the faucet just right, the air hockey table doesn’t plug in to work right, not all the lights work, closet doors broken off hinges, so the place just needs small things fixed to make it great! Needs a little TLC and would be an awesome place to stay.

Perfect Base Camp

My wife and I wanted a place to be able to work during the day and visit with our two girls, students at Kansas State, during the evenings. This house was in the perfect location, close to both of their houses, and an easy drive to the necessities like Starbucks and Dillons. The house was cute, with the perfect beds and everything we needed to enjoy time with the girls. The large kitchen table provided the perfect place to spread out and play games after dinner, and work during the day. We will definitely look here first the next time we need a place to stay in Manhattan!
